I really enjoyed the video. The part where they are talking about moving up and Gene says that most (including internal) were surprised that they didn't go "big boy" league right away was eye opening for me. Not being closely connected with the inner working of the university, I have to wonder what is holding them back from going "big boy" league...

Don't let Lakes...er..I mean..El Chapo see this thread. He will fill you in about how millions of dollars and a conference are no excuse for not moving up to FBS. But I won't let facts get in the way of him highjacking another thread.

I like how Gene was still wearing NDSU gear. I'm thinking he may keep some in the closest with the new Hawkeye gear. Once a Bison, always a Bison.

Now that he is not legally bound to NDSU I was hoping if he could give us some insights on the future of this program, how far we are in our plans to join FBS etc..he has nothing to lose.

That isnt for Gene to disclose. If there is any information to be announced the current or future admins will do that. How old are you?

I think we are really going to miss GT. Without him, I highly doubt we accrue the success that we've had over the last decade. Sure seemed like every decision he made turned to gold. Outstanding leadership and foresight. Must. Find. GT. Clone.
