Just a small bit on him and the quality of the school. I was more amused by Johannesson saying he had no interest in Wyoming when asked if he got an offer from Bohl.

Years ago, Teddy Roosevelt routinely took bunch of notorious convicts and abandoned them in Wyoming. It was a case of solitary punishment he did this because after few weeks these convicts killed themselves because they got bored and depressed.

Sikes was incredible last week at QB vs Edina, tonight he lost bad to #1 Eden prairie e. Scored a TD but not enough

They offered him as a QB.

I told you he's looked great as a QB.

his team lost on the final game Saturday night.

Braden Sikes ran a perfect read-option, deftly faking the run up the middle and racing untouched off left tackle for a 57 yard touchdown

Finished 10-19 175 yards 3 tds and ran for 12 - 115 2 td's. Guy is an incredible athlete, need to keep him committed!

SDSU offered two days ago. Not sure on what position. I would guess safety with the other commitments they have.

Senior highlights, he played a little less than a half in the playoff game at safety rest is at QB.

yea his season was cut short last week, he was a solid NDSU commit, his classmate coming here too. I think UNI & SDSU are jackasses for trying to offer, they are dangling the carrot to continue as QB.

I say NDSU should play him at QB he looked great!

Its called the ole bait and switch. Get him convinced he is a QB recruit and force a switch in positions later. Oldest dirty trick in the recruiting book.

I am guessing NDSU is in good shape, not sure he even wants to play QB in college.

Players get offered all the time after they have committed. Why? Because they are kids. They can change there minds. Not until the NLI is signed, sealed and delivered and shows up on campus should any team think a kid is sewed up.

Which is why I don't watch much highlights until NLI time because it just leads to severe letdown when they back out. After they sign I will OD on their highlight vids

I never watch high lights. Or get let down. There are to many variables when I kid is in high school. I take notice after he shows up on campus and I listen to how they are progressing.

I would rather see a kids film in a game they lost to see how he played against good competition and see how he handles adversity. (learned that one from Erhardt)

watching these guys in hs while they are verballed to NDSU is pretty fun and lets you watch them develop. Plus they like to pimp NDSU a lot while playing other teams and newspaper stories thus helping ndsu's exposure.

I find the highlight reels exciting but ya it would be interesting to see film from tough games but how do you get those. Their highlight vids tell somewhat of a story. I knew Menard might play this year strictly from his highlights and there are several guys redshirting that I have really high hopes for based on highlights.

Hey if that's how you want to evaluate a player that's fine with me.
Another thing Ive learned is if hes a man playing amongst boys you better look at tape of him playing against better competition.

True. I loved seeing Stick, RJ, and Jalen play so well in the Nebraska all star game for that very reason

Agree the competition they play against is key when looking at highlights.

That's my favorite interview so far!! Kid sounds legit. Liked the comment about lack of fan support or family feel at that school in Iowa. Also noticed the jersey # question, thanks!!

Well, lets swing this back.
I enjoyed the comments about the fans and tailgating. And he mentioned it so it must mean something to the recruits.
His interview was very good and I can't wait to see more.

Those comments stood out to me as well. The story Coach told at the banquet about Grimsley (sp?) walking through the lots and everyone knowing who he was also proved to me that fans have a larger impact on recruits than I thought. It's nice to be a part of a well educated and passionate fan base. Can't wait to watch this young man at safety in the future.
