This is an awsome idea! I have always loved when NDSU's Facebook page posts pics of people all over the country, and world, of people showing their Bison Pride. I like how they are asking in the application where the flag will be flown. I would hope that people plan on flying it at iconic places in their states. Golden Gate Bridge, Mt. Rushmore, Disneyworld, Empire State Building, Las Vegas strip, just to name a few. Of course, whoever gets the responsibility of flying the flag it Grand Forks should not only get a bigger flag, but find a good spot near campus or the ALerus Center to fly it! This is going to be cool.

in Bozeman montana for the ndsu playoff game, every business in town had a bobcat flag/banner up, that's what downtown fargo should look like since they wanted gameday down there so bad.

Thank you. The USS North Dakota is currently in Groton, CT. I inquired whether or not they have Bison gear on board but didn't hear anything back. I was station aboard the USS Rhode Island and it was plastered with University of Rhode Island Rams stuff. So I would hope there would be Bison paraphanalia around.

I don't believe the BVer in question paid for the flag; I think it was from an application. But I could be wrong. If it was free, the town isn't on the list. Unless they assigned it to the wrong town. The town he lives in is not on the list, but the town he works in is.

We saw that our town was on the list. We haven't seen a flag either. It's a pretty small town. We live in the country but would fly it near the highway.

I thought I made a good case with my crazy fan stuff, being an alumnus, teammaker, long time season ticket holder, occasional small time donor for other stuff, and my daughter going to NDSU for like her 6th year to get her doctorate. Nobody represents NDSU in South Dakota every day like I do. Take a lot of crap for it too. Just a bit disappointed in NDSU to say the least. Maybe NDSU could see fit to send a few flags to South Dakota since it is a neighboring state and Minnesota is supposed to get a bunch.

I mostly hiked south of Glacier in the Bob Marshall Wilderness (East of Swan Range) and just to the West (Mission Range). Once had a Grizzly near our camp on the edge of a mountain lake and we decided to get the heck out of there.
