I think it was the WCC but the point still stands, Gonzaga-BYU was a strong match up to go up against.

Ooops. BYU MWC was so 5 years ago. Old habits.

Yeah...but with that said their basketball game probably was one of the most viewed sporting events that involved UN_ this year.

Looking at it this way makes me wonder what in the world UMKC saw in the WAC. I would welcome them back to the Summit in a heartbeat, and I don't see any reason why they wouldn't come back. I don't even know which WAC team made it to the NCAA this year.

The other thing that stands out is the leap in viewership from us and America East to the Horizon. At this point, that middle level seems like it could be attainable. Is it a function of the day of week and other tournament games on, or general interest in the conference?

The Horizon had a prime spot....ESPN and their game was sandwiched between Sportscenter and the WCC title game. Their only competition was the NEC title game, we had to go up against the WCC title game.

I'm actually pretty impressed with this.

Especially considering who the opponent was. Really, how many people in Indy were tuned into it besides the sports bars? Reminds me of that local news clips that was posted in the GDT... Interviewing an ALUM that didn't realize they were in the championship game until that DAY.
