how does the King look ?

I've heard that King is a beast!! I think there is a quote from him somewhere saying that he isn't going to try and avoid people; meaning he plans on running people over.

Spring ball is more interesting this year than in either of the last 2 years. Will be interesting all around but these are the guys I'm paying the most attention to:

1) King Frazier
2) Carson Wentz
3) Marcus Collins
4) Nate Tanguay and Austin Farnlof (want to see who steps up as the other starter next to Schaetz)
5) Landon Lechler
6) Esley Thorton

I liked Esley's demeanor on the news the other night....a bit pissed off and disrespected.

There was a story on him on KX in Bismarck last night. He said he wants to run between the tackles and run people over; he's not looking to avoid contact. I like his philosophy!!

Also a short video on WDAY (which you can get to from the sports section at inforum.com - the title is something like "After two days off")

Edit: I can't be the only one who saw his last name and was wondering if it was Samaon or something. Turns out it's French in origin - means "Fire Dog." Some really interesting family histories out there for that surname.

Good article on Tanguay. 288 pounds and doesn't look like he has an ounce of fat on him in the picture. Like the attitude on not missing a beat. I have a really good feeling that this kid will be a special player for the next 4 years.

This is true, but not sure if it is official, yet. Joey was a player in the program for 4+ years. He had to retire during summer camp last year due to chronic knee problems. He was a student assistant last season and did a great job. Bohl was interested in bringing him to Wyoming.

seems pretty official to me as I have heard from 2 different players from very random states stating he has contacted them about NDSU.

I plan on driving up to Fargo for the spring game (3 hour drive). Some of you Bisonvillers need to do a ball check to find out if you are real football fans. Spring game is a good time with the showcase, tailgating and spring game. It does suck there is no locker room sale this year, and the Thursday night showcase blows.
I do have to figure out a way to justify a long weekend so I can go to the showcase too.........maybe if weather good I can golf all day Friday?
Three nights to party in Fargo.........Izzy, Slick and Sav you ready?

A few items from the scrimmage
- Dom and Jeff mentioned Esley Thorton seeing action at MLB on the video blog
- Fargo North walk-on Peter Saintel being mentioned in the scrimmage write-up as a CB, with a pass break-up (was a RB)
- Shea DeJong also listed as a CB in the write-up (I thought he was a S when he transferred in, but at 5' 7" versatility
could help him see the field more often)

I dont gets Dom's love affair each year with who will be the #2 QB in the middle of spring ball. Hedberg, Klieman and Polasek have said they will wait til after fall camp to make that decision. If Easton is everything he is billed to be and would overtake Davis as the #2 in 2015 anyways, why not just keep McGinnis #2 and move Davis to wideout in 2015.

Its a good problem to have as long as Izzo incessant "Davis is #2" chatter doesnt chase McGinnis off.

The media talk persay wouldnt be the reason to leave. The subject of playing time and position on the depth chart and the reality of it being a fact would more likely be the catalyst.

Valid point, I guess what I was trying to say is there are many other position battles that I would rather hear about. How are the Rams coming together and who is the first off the bench at this point. How about the outside linebackers, who spells Beck or Esley? What about FB, who else besides Bonnet will get an opportunity? All of these are positions we can expect backups to see the field.
