What type of team would you prefer to play? We will be a 12 or 13 seed. What do we match up best with? I honestly dont know. Do we prefer a grind it out half court team like Saint Louis? An athletic team that isnt strong from outside like Kentucky or SDSU? A team that isnt strong in the front court, but good guards like UConn?

I like our chances against UConn. With KB defense against point and our play in the paint. We have the ability to take them out.

Anybody that doesn't have a big that can take over the game.

Mich St and Tom Izzo are about the last team I'd want to play in the tournament.

We don't match up all that well with Michigan State lol.

I don't care who they play, as long as their first game is on Friday...Thursday does not work for me, lol.

Yeah I want nothing to do with Izzo in March. Not sure who I want yet but I'll be paying very close attention to the conference tournaments now.

I would hate to play Michigan State. Coach Izzo is a guy that knows how to win come tourney time. I am not saying Saul doesn't but.. Izzo has the "It" factor in the big dance.

Chances for an #11 seed went up since yesterday but I still see us getting a #12. Also, giving us a 33% chance of an opening round win.

Potential #5 and #6 seeds we'd face include UCONN, Oklahoma, Cincinnati, Mich St, St Louis, UCLA, Ohio St, VCU, Umass and Lenardi even has TX as a #6. I don't think we get a #13 seed. The last team from that list I'd want to face is Michigan State.

Seems like they always seed the Summit champ a line below where they should be. I think NDSU should be a 12, that said I think we will be a 13.

Only excuse I can see for that is the fact that the Summit/MidCon champ hasn't won a tournament game in about 15 years. Time to break that streak!

you have to keep in mind teams like green bay are out (who wouldve been seeded higher than us), plus we are one of the stronger mid-major teams (as far as record and resume are concerned) out there. but they could seed a team like SFA or Delaware higher than us. Hopefully they give us a 12 cuz this team deserves it

We have head to head over Delaware but SFA is an odd case, great record and hideous SOS. Not sure what the committee will think of them. They haven't lost in a long time.

I am unsure how the committee picks teams for the tournament.. is there anyway the Bison would have to play a "play-in" game to get in the big dance. I know there is one that is 11/11 seed game and a 12/12 game. Who usually has to play them, and is there a chance we are in them?

No chance we are a play-in team.

Last four at-large teams play in. The four worst auto bids also play in.

Sorry Loud & Proud, meant to expand on my reply.....Pretty sure Mt St Mary's will get one of the play-in bids with their 16-16 record. Student answered with good info, as usual.

Agreed. I fly to California on Thursday. My luck NDSU would play when I am in the air.

Correct. And I don't believe they are set at 11/12/13 seeds. Last year the play-in games were 11, 13, and two 16s.

From the espn bracket it was 11/11, 12/12, and two 16/16's. Assuming they are correct. That is why I was curious if we had to play one. I greatly appreciate your answers!

Correct. There will always be four 16 seeds fighting for two spots, but seeding of the other four teams will vary depending on the field. If the mid- and low-major autobids are pretty bad, the play-in games could go as high as 10 or 11. If the autos are pretty good, the play-ins could go as low as 13 or 14. But generally they'll be in the 11-13 range.

11-13 range - all four are at-large selections
16 - all four are autobids
