Yes, that exact comment drives me crazy. "We were up 21-7 and got conservative." Just not true at all. KState never had the ball with more than a one possession lead the whole game. 21-7 Kstate then NDSU scores a TD to make it 21-14. Kstate's next drive stalls on three consecutive incomplete passes from a first and ten. NDSU gets FG to go 21-17. Next drive has a mix of run and pass till Beck ends the drive with superman jump on a pass play. NDSU drives 80 yards to go up 24-21. Kstate throws desperation pick to end game. Not sure where the conservative part comes in.

Except ew had one of those five wins. I think the thing that hurt is the most was when msu pusses out. Having that D 2 team hurt us no matter which way you look at it.

Not sure it hurt us that much in terms of getting in the AP25. Most of the voters simply saw an undefeated FCS team as unworthy regardless of who was on their schedule. The remaining might have looked at the actual games on the schedule, but how many actually knew Ferris State wasn't an FCS team? The other question you have to ask is how many voters think they can only vote for FBS teams?

Assuming we took care of business, it might have helped us move a spot or two up in the Sag rankings, but if 17 isn't good enough for voters, I doubt 15 would have been either.

The only way an FCS team gets voted into the AP 25 is if they beat 2 ranked FBS teams in non-con play. Aside from that, playing a D2 team did nothing to hurt our chances because we already didn't have a chance. Those voters have a heavy FBS bias and even with a win at K-State many of them probably have the delusional mindset of FBS fans who think that now, at the end of the day, FBS teams are better than us and would roll us. One FBS win will never be enough and the reasoning and conjecture will always be against the little guy trying to push his way upward. Our success vs FBS teams means nothing...we are always just lucky.

I was speaking from their perspective not mine. I think NDSU beats most BCS teams this year and rolls many of them. I think the Bison would take pretty much anyone they played out of their game.

I hate that statement too. If NDSU was to beat one school, then maybe. But this senior class went 4 for 4 against FBS schools and 2 of them were both teams opening games. No reason those 2 teams wouldn't be jacked up to start the season. Minnesota should have known from losing to us previously not to overlook us.

Yes it sure was lucky that Willson picked off the pass in the end zone against Kansas and Eaves?? absolutely destroyed that TE for the fumble. It was lucky that Minn QB threw the ball directly to Marcus and couldn't even throw a hail mary pass more than 10 feet off the ground. It WAS LUCKY that CSU even scored against us as that probably should have been a shut out. And it was lucky that we went on an 8 minute drive picking up every third and fourth down conversion to end the game against KSU. Maybe just maybe KSU should consider themselves lucky that our CB and S were as aggressive as they were on their TD passes.

Over the last 3 or 4 years I have watched three supposedly NDSU fans (Lakes, CC and JBB, or are they the same person) completely undermine and discredit the NDSU fan base. That thread was doing perfectly fine without any input from a Bison fan. It was enjoyable reading the thoughts of others about our program from strictly their perspective. Now it has been tainted.

They were concluding, on their own, that if everything the Bison did this season doesn't warrant a top 25 ranking, then there is nothing any FCS program can do to get a top 25 ranking. It was straight up the most direct and concise argument that could ever be made and they did it completely on their own. I was very impressed. Now it has the potential of getting very stupid.

I still believe the photo deal with JBB was either a mod over on CS editing his posts with their stash of pr0n or possibly whoever hosted some photos that JBB was hot linking replaced them with pr0n. I've been guilty of doing the second option when I see someone hotlinking my photos without my permission.

Completely agree...it was awesome to read through a totally unbiased thread. And then CC makes a stupid comment that "NDSU defense knows how to tackle, something that 90% of FBS schools don't know how to do". How can ANYONE take you seriously with a completely ridiculous statement like that?
