"Iowa State hired former Kansas coach Mark Mangino as the Cyclones' new offensive coordinator Monday."

Apparently, he couldn't wait until November to get his ass beat again.

Big deal. He was at Youngstown this year so how big could it be?

It's interesting because it gets Mangino back in the Big XII. When Snyder retires at KSU, Mangino's name will be on the list to replace him. I don't think he'll get the job but it positions him to be in the mix.
Mangino is a decent coach and would still be at KU if it wasn't for the $h!tshow that went down with his departure. The AD, Perkins, had a lot to do with getting Mangino out and getting Turner Gill in but Mangino did some things in that program that made you think he was a total d-bag as a person.

He is easy to make fun of. He has the biggest gut in sports and his name is Mangina if you switch one letter in his name.
