The fans at SIU were weird. They kept arriving right up to half time. Seriously you arrive 5 minutes before half time and then you leave and dont come back?????

This goes without saying. I was only thinking about teams we had played in fb this year but yeah forgot about them crashing gameday.

For those of you weighing in on this, I'd love to hear why you feel the way you do.

I don't go to many away games, but had an interesting conversation with a SDSU fan before our game down there. He asked me what the point spread was for the game. I said I don't know but I would say it's between 17-21 points but could see it being a lot closer because of the rivalry game. Just a very respectful conversation with a very knowledge fan who knew his team very well and our team very well.

Yeah, I'm a little bias after that incident, but I didn''t have any great experiences that weekend with the fans in purple. Ask EZQB about the guy three rows behind us. He heckled every Bison fan non-stop until halftime, when he prolly got escorted out (he never returned for the second half). He made lakes look like a polite, respectful member of society. Lol

We had an incredible great time in manhattan. Spent a fortune in aggieville. Had a thousand k fans that were great. We did have 3 or 4 jerks try to start something but when you have a Klabo with, they needed a lot more than 4.

lakes was too busy getting the 50 year old fat mustached KState fan and his loser son pissed off across the aisle from us lol.

they were already fed up with lakes with about 12:00 left in the first qtr. Dude got super fired up when Kstate scored to tie the game up at 7

Agreed, there is a gal and two guys that have been on sdsu sidelines the last several years. Must have positions with sdsu but are horrible on sidelines. Clearly the worst.

the people were fine though. goto a bar wearing NDSU gear, be prepared to get some shit thrown at you, throw it right back then. danny batten, the rabbit who was drafted by the ravens in 2010, shot the shit with us...good guy.

it went farther than just talk, I can handle that I know I'm not the only one that had issues. Maybe you were fine but my experience was bad and I'll never spend a dime in Brookings again so I pick them as the worst

Didn't really interact with the KS fans but the ones we did were nice enough.
SIU fans weren't weird, they were drunk. They don't go to the game, they sit in the lots and drink. Ok, maybe that's weird.
YSU fans were nice and they were complimentary. Instead of living in the 90's, wishing for the good old days, they need to drop kick that whiney a$$ coach and play better.
My vote goes to SDSU for being classless rubes. Plus they need to get with the program with Portly Potties.

We were standing a few feet away from him. One of the ESPN people that wandered the crowd looking for inappropriate signs before the show started to ask him what his sign meant. If I remember correctly, they didn't let him in the pit because his sign was on a hockey stick.

The obsession the GFU sports fans have with NDSU athletics is incredible. Just seems odd to me a fanbase wishes more for a school (NDSU) to lose than for their own school to win...at least eight out of ten Icer fans I talk with are like this. When questioning them about their programs, the conversation usually gets turned around to them saying how much they enjoy a Bison loss...seems odd.

I had to deal with 4 drunks just to our groups left and I am proud to say that my behind the scenes work got Mr. T into a couple of crowd close-ups. Other than these jackwads, the Kansas State folks were great. The proved to be real helpful as my wife experienced a bit too much heat. All in all, they expected the Bison to roll over and the Bison simply laughed, then gored them.

There are always a couple jerks, even on the Bison sidelines. All in all, KSU and SDSU fans (my two away games this year) were decent. BTW: We can be proud of the manner in which the Bison welcome opposing fans in our tailgate.

If you are a bunny a cat or a tree, you should get nervous. A bird would flit around and another dog (includes a yote) or even a bear would take notice. A Bison would notice that it is a penguin barking and would just crap on it.

At half time during the Youngstown game (their break from throwing things at the Bison bench) a Youngstown fan told Bison fans in the rest room that he hoped all the Bison fans would get in car accidents on the way home and die. Classy.

Best - Ferris State. The few fans I ran into were very nice and respectful. They keep telling me that the NDSU tailgating was alot more fun than Michigan State's Tailgating. It made have been the Jager I fed them, but they were really good people.

Best: SHSU - At the NC last year, one of the SHSU fans gave me the nice box that a bottle of Sam Houston whiskey came in. I was showing it proudly to other SHSU fans. Got to talking about the oil patch in ND with another SHSU fan, said he would like to come up here and work, but his wife was not too hot on the idea(weather). He ended up giving me a unopened bottle of Sam Houston whiskey to go in the box.

Unfortunately/fortunately, we did not want to check any bags, so had to consume it before we flew out the next day.

The next day I asked the airport security what would have happened if they had found a full bottle of whiskey in my carry-on luggage. He said they probably would have had to contact their Hazmat people because of the number of ounces. I think he was halfways serious.
