you know more about bubba than me but while it's not a great/home run hire but i think it's a decent/average hire. und is terrible right now, but SIU was at least a playoff contender. i guess it;s better than what UND has been doing the last few years. dont think he will make them a top contender but could get them to the playoffs

I've been watching the world junior hockey championships (I like hockey, deal with it), and they continually run this NCAA hockey commercial. the commercial states that 30% of NHL players come from the NCAA. I did some digging to find out where the other 70% come from. Not surprisingly, +40% come from Canadian Junior Hockey. NCAA hockey is second fiddle.

Moral of the story is...
1. Canadian Junior Hockey is to the NHL what FBS/BCS football is to the NFL
2. NCAA hockey is to the NHL what FCS football is to the NFL

the NHL says your level of hockey is second tier, even if you think it is first tier.
