Just wondering if anyone has considered a proper send off for Coach Bohl since it will be his last game at the Fargodome. Obviously not all will make it to Frisco if we win (I know, I know, I'm confident we will too). It would be nice to see a chant or two go his way at some point to thank him for what he's done for the Herd. Thoughts?

Wow I just realized that this will be the last ever "We Want Bohl" chant. I remember loving seeing that from my dad's seats wayyyy before I was a student.

Make sure you clear all these chants with Lakes. He invented most of them and has rights to them.

Its sad to see a great coach, leader, and mentor leave. I remember the "WE WANT BOHL" chants as a student. He has produced a great product on the field resulting in an electrifying venue. Lets send Bohl out on top with a thundering Bison Ovation.

This is not just his last game, this is also the last game in Fargo Dome for our 24 seniors so we should make this an event to remember.

What would be the odds of having GT schedule a home and home game with Wyoming. One would think Bohl would encourage Wyoming AD to agree to this

unless, of course, NDSU goes to the mountain west.

Gene Taylor needs to be working the phone lines trying to get an in with the conference. Geographically it makes sense. Lots of fargo connections.

Au contraire... http://www.footballgeography.com/college-football-fcs-teams-hosting-fbs-opponents/

It doesn't happen often, but it is certainly not unprecedented.

I would think that we would travel pretty well to help fill their stadium. I don't see the downside for Wyoming.

On what basis are y'all making this judgment? I'd say it is about as unlikely as ESPN Gameday come to Fargo.

would bohl even want us to play them in laramie? maybe. but a home and home with an fbs isnt going to happen. ball state almost agreed with illinois state but then backed out. im willing to bet it hasnt happened more than once. if ever

Did ya not see the link I posted that showed an FCS team has hosted an FBS team over 250 times? It may not be common, but it is not unprecedented.

Wyoming is not that desperate. Realistically, I hope we sign a contract for another game with Wyoming soon. It's a perfect opportunity and it will get harder to schedule local FBS games with the BIG "discouraging" scheduling FCS games. Otherwise were stuck with CSU, ISU, the Kansas' and the MAC.

2004 FAU was 1-AA independent and FIU was FCS. 2007-2008 were transitioning years for WKU. same with georgia state and utsa. wyoming is not an idaho type team that will go to an fcs school. now days its just not happening

Exactly, LOL at comparing a team in transition traveling to an FCS to Wyoming traveling to NDSU. There is a better chance NDSU fills out their 2014 class with all 5 star recruits than a FBS ever playing NDSU in Fargo. 0.0000000000% chance

Interesting link, also click the one showing who is or has been FBS. What the hell happened in 1981? Is that the first year of 1-AA??

i picked a random year and researched and North Texas in 82 was 1-AA but were demoted in 78 because they were millions of dollars in the hole. i wouldnt doubt if the majority of these games involved an fbs who was recently fcs/I-AA or an fcs who was recently demoted (like UNT) or close to making the jump anyways. which was the case in all of the 2000s. (other than maybe idaho in 03, but they were fcs/I-AA in late 90s)

Doors typically open 90 minutes before kickoff. So 5:30 on Friday night.

Think we should have a big party in the dome after Frisco to be able to congratulate/thank the players and the coaching staff. Maybe open it up Sunday 1/5 from say 2-5pm. That would be fun!

I will assume you have NOT ever brought your children to a Bison game, because if you have ignore this!
Bring some hearing protection for the kids....literally. Playoff games get LOUD. Some moments in a playoff game can get uxpectedly loud, suchas the time in the GSU game...
Some, if not many people that bring young kids say they wished they would have brought something!
Have fun!!!

I've bought these for two of my nephews, both under 2 years old when they went (one slept through the fireworks at introduction with them on): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I7NX5E/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Run about $16 and are well worth it.

What every other fan base does when they storm the field. Look up in the stands at the stuffed shirts in the stands and wonder why they aren't down on the field enjoying the moment.
