Nobody can blame Bohl for moving up to the next level and taking a $1.1 million dollar raise. As Bohl said, there is nothing more he can accomplish @ NDSU. Likewise, WHEN we win our third straight national title, there is NOTHING LEFT TO ACCOMPLISH at this level. Bohl would not be taking the move to the mere Mountain West unless he was pretty sure that Wyoming was going to get into the Big 12.

Hence, with Wyoming bolting out of the Mountain West, it is a perfect opportunity for NDSU to take a "chance" and join the Mountain West. IT IS A STEP UP. And it's the perfect time to move up. Taylor needs to find a visionary coach that will take us to new heights. Time to strap up the big boy pants, start a NDSU sports cable channel ($4 to $10 a month), expand the Fargodome or build another stadium, and start raising more $.

The only way Wyoming gets into the Big 12 is if Texas decides to change conferences and takes some of their Big 12 friends with them.

If Wyoming gets in the Big 12, God help them. Even with Bohl there.

Big 12

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::r ofl:

Actually there are not getting a Big 12 invite they are staying in the MW. A team with 12,000 people in announced attendance on Senior Day is not Big 12 material.

Bad NDSU teams used to draw about that. Just saying don't book on sellouts every game. :hide:

1. We have to build a bigger stadium. This has not be talked about by the higher ups at NDSU or has it even been hinted at.

2.We can't afford to pay a coach $1mil or even fund more scholarships.

We will never see NDSU move up. It is what it is. But I am getting tired of playing crappy teams from crappy conferences.

I am not saying that we will always have sellouts, my point was there is no way Texas Oklahoma or K-State are going to vote for WYO to join the Big 12 they do not have a good enough atmosphere for the Big 12.

Big 12?

This is turning embarrassing.

If you guys to to any big 12 or mwc message board, you will see how bad those teams are laughing at the "stupid" NDSU fans.

Wyoming is NOT going to the big 12, and nobody in those conferences even heard about it until bisonnation started that rumor.

Just unbelievable i cannot believe we have fans honestly thinking that.

Nevermind - i see you guys see the joke too.

I been following conference realignment for awhile, there is probably 20 programs they would seriously look at before gong to someone like Wyoming.

Gotcha. Completely agree. God it's absurd some people think this was ever a possibility (especially media)

I was in school when the bison were working on the hockey program. Eventually the idea was dropped so we'd have one hockey program in nd. It's time for the state to decide Bison football is the one program they are going to support at the highest level!

And when that happens monkeys will fly out of my ass. That is also probably the day before WYO gets a Big12 invite. Wow some of you amaze me.....

Honest question here. Not taking sides, just trying to understand.

What schools meet both criteria:

1. Being good/big enough for the Big 12 to want them.

2. Actually wanting to go to the Big 12.

Source for moving to Big 12?????? Since that isnt happening I guess that makes the rest of your post pretty non-sensical doesnt it.

Kudos to Steve Halstrom for doing a radio show until 1am last night. He had an interview with a reporter from Wyoming, and he laughed when asked the Big12 conference question. Said there was zero chance Wyoming is getting a BIG12 invite. Smallest TV market being one of many factors.

Exactly....In what world would Wyoming get into the Big XII(ten members)? Never.

So, if NIU and Boise St want to be in the Big 12 and the Big 12 wants them, why isn't it a done deal?

Is it not a given that the Big 12 wants to expand?

The Big 12 will look at BYU, UCF, USF and Cincy if it wants to expand.
