Crazy story and this should be a forfeit....

Winston-Salem State quarterback Rudy Johnson was expected to lead his team on the field Saturday as it attempts to win its third consecutive Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (CIAA) football championship. But after an alleged incident at a celebratory banquet Friday, Johnson won't be able to play, and neither will anyone else.

The CIAA on Friday night canceled the game between Winston-Salem State and Virginia State in the wake of the incident, as well as the conference's volleyball championships that also were to be held in Winston-Salem, N.C., this weekend. The move comes after Johnson was allegedly beaten by a group of Virginia State football players in a bathroom of a WSSU campus building during the CIAA football banquet

NCAA death penalty for VSU football if true. No lenience for something like this.

Don't want to harsh the party but this article is a real downer and is unrelated to Bison Football. Is there a better thread for this?

They should all be kicked off indefinitely and kicked out of school to spend time in prison.

That's a terrible idea. The actions of a few should not lead to the death penalty of a program. Shit Penn State higher ups covered up a pedophile ring and they didn't get the death penalty.

What if 2 ndsu players did that to a USD qb? Would it be fair to shut down the program because of 2 D Bags? You can't control everything

The players should be in prison.

Gabe is right.

Death penalty would be warranted if the two that beat of the USD QB were Bohl and Taylor.

One should point out to our esteemed guests from the reality void up north the (obvious to the rational world) fact that this is a hypothetical and that it, in fact, did not happen.

So, this topic brings a few questions to my mind. Apparently, the CIAA does not schedule conference games on the last week of the regular season (??). So, is that conference always limited to one less regular-season game? I wonder how the conference championship game that didn't get played, could have affected the seeding in the playoffs.
