Did I hear this right? NBC is going to do an hour pregame leading into the isu-blue game.

Nice!

Time for NDSU to launch their own cable network.*

This must be old info. Jamal Spencer on last night's sports broadcast said "special one-hour pre-game show starting at 1:00 pm," which meshes well with the 2:00 pm CDT start time.

When was the last 12:05 pm kickoff? This year?

The game will once again be broadcast on ESPN Game plan. That's the 4th Game plan game this year and it won't be the last

And no game has been in HD on ESPN3 since this started.......I was getting spoiled in Sioux Falls, I guess.

So any guesses what this means for playoff games?

Will it be like last year and just on ESPN3 (hopefully in HD), or like the regular season games this year on NBCHD and on ESPN3 in standard def?

Why is that? I'm not very knowledgable about this stuff. Is it a satellite bandwidth issue?

I haven't fully understood the reason the ESPN 3 pickup of the ND NBC feed isn't in HD either. The playoffs games were all ESPN productions so you could assume they'd be in HD like they were last year. I'm enjoying getting to see the games as is, but it would sure be nice to have the feed in HD. There was a game earlier this year on ESPN3 that was in HD IIRC, don't know why the last few weeks haven't been.

Thank god. I am going to be stuck in Courtenay, ND (tiny town outside of Jamestown). I have something to look forward to.

Or sneak further to the NW, hitch a ride on a train and go to Kensal! ;)

If you make it to Kensal, might as well keep going and hit the Bordulac Bar!

NDSU has had HD cameras now for a few years. KVLY just got HD cameras this year so they could broadcast in HD.

I tweeted NDSU Broadcasting @NDSUbroadcast why ESPN3 is not in HD and they said this: ESPN tries to take the HD for ESPN3 with the volume of games they dont promise it.. Gameplan is always SD only..

Incorrect. They have had HD cameras for a few years too. Have you ever tried to buy a SD camera in the last 5 years? Yeah...not going to happen. The cameras were not the reason they didn't have HD. Cameras are cheap compared to everything else.

Thanks. That's good to know. I think the Ferris State game was HD but I dont' think any of them since has been in hd. I was going crazy the a couple times wondering if I had a bandwith issue on my home network that was causing it to not stream in HD or if there was something different with my browser.

It does seem suspicious to me that game was not on gameplan while other were and that is when SD started.

If the North route is not appealing you can go south to Spiritwood Lake. Lot's of good memories there.

Game Plan is expanding their pregame coverage. This week will be 2 minutes rather than the original 1 minute pregame.
