Key FCS Games
SC State at Bethune-Cookman 3 p.m. - You may as well call this game the MEAC title game. The only team that has beaten Bethune is Florida State who is perhaps the best team in the FBS this year. Bethune also holds wins over Tennessee State and FBS Florida International. A win here could make them a potential seed come playoff time. SC State lacks quality wins on their resume, they really need that autobid to avoid sweating it out on selection Sunday. This game has all the makings of being a classic game, should be a fun one to watch ESPN News.

Eastern Illinois at Tennessee State 4 p.m. OVC Digital Network- We go from what should be the MEAC title game to what should be the OVC title game. Both EIU and TSU are undefeated in OVC play, no OVC team has really even challenged Jimmy Garoppolo's EIU Panthers and perhaps TSU might be the one who can. A key for beating a team like EIU is that you need to be able to run the football, you have to control the clock. TSU has a solid rushing attack, averaging almost 190 yards per game. TSU has also done a solid job against the pass, giving up only 150 yards per game through the air. But nobody on their schedule can throw the ball around like EIU can.

Maine at Villanova noon- Nova lost a very tough game at New Hampshire last Saturday in the closing seconds of the game and with three losses they can't afford many more slip ups. Meanwhile Maine is 6-1 and sitting all by themselves a top the CAA. This game should be low scoring, Nova and Maine have two of CAA's toughest defenses. The winner of this game will have an inside track to claiming the CAA title and autobid.

Upset Special
Samford over Wofford- Wofford barely got past Western Carolina this past Saturday, the Terriers don't seem to have the same offensive punch they had last year with Eric Breitenstein. Meanwhile Samford is a team that nobody in the FCS is talking about they have narrow losses to a few good teams and own a win over Georgia Southern. Their QB Andy Summerlin has been very efficient on the season thus far, throwing for almost 290 yards per game and he only has 4 interceptions to 15 touchdowns on the season. Samford can also get it done on the ground, average almost 150 yards per game. This balanced approach will prove too much for Wofford and the Bulldogs of Samford will notch a huge SoCon win.

FCS Game of the Week
EWU at Montana 2:30 p.m. Root Sports Northwest- For the past decade these two programs have been the class of the Big Sky and once again this year both teams find themselves among the Big Sky's upper tier. This game features Montana's balance offensive attack vs the very dynamic EWU offense led by Vernon Adams. This is Montana's second big test of the season. They failed their first test on the road at NAU as the lumberjacks completely dismantled the Griz. The Griz have bounced back from that game with three straight wins, one being dramatic come from behind victory over Cal Poly last week. While Montana doesn't have a running back with the talent of Tim Flanders(who ran for almost 300 yards vs EWU) they do average over 200 yards rushing per game and have a solid QB in Jordan Johnson that rarely turns the ball over. This game is an opportunity for the Griz to show they are a contender come playoff time and for EWU it is a chance all but eliminate the Griz from the Big Sky title race.
