So who is at QB for Missouri State? With their starter Harris getting hurt at the end against South Dakota.
Will be watching at the beginning for #10 - Kierra Harris or # 16 - Ashton Glaser
And with the thread talking of Carlton Littlejohn, who starts today for him?
Is Esley Thorton available? He is still listed as the back-up on the depth chart.
Or do they give Pierre Gee-Tucker (#47) his first start? Or start Bryan Shepard in the 5 DB look?

In the 5 DB look, LJ was in, Beck was out. So either way, someone has to fill in for LJ. I'm hoping to see PGT just because I'm really high on the kid. Esley deserves the spot due to experience (which isn't much, but he's worked hard to become accustomed to the position). I don't think we can go wrong with ANY back up we see today. Next man up.

Yep, they defended that nicely, but I like that NDSU went for it on 4th down because Missouri State is good at blocking punts and kicks. Plus, I want them to sweep the leg early and get some young guys playing time.

Worked out OK in the end.

I'd kind of expect it in the first half - NDSU has never had any luck trying to establish the run against MSU. Might as well try to establish the pass to set up the run.

Missouri St played good, no doubt about it, we struggled a bit with some things but give them credit they were fired up and never quit, we had injuries hope nothing too bad but Tucker, CJ smith and Marcus all went out.

great passing game today maybe this was a breakout game for Vraa to really light it up, Brock's 1 pick six was just a bad play, he missed a couple open receivers but hey he managed the game and we won.

D looked a little slower today but after the physical game last week I expected it.

again Missouri St is not a terrible team, but we need to sharpen things up for the Egyptian dogs next week!!

refs....well they missed some things on both sides so we will call it a wash

Missouri State does have some talent and a good run defense. I'm wondering if coaching and discipline isn't an issue for the Bears and their 1-5 record. They played us tough the first half, then they made stupid mistakes. They throw the pick with a minute left that never should have been thrown, or called. In the 4th they cut it to a 2 score game and the WR gets an unsportsmanlike after his td. Bohl would have ripped the guy if it happened to us. They were physical though, a typical Valley team. Only 5 more to go!

I've been so disappointed the last three weeks in the offense and in the defense today and on certain occasions last week.

I'm glad we are winning but I just see things that need to be cleaned up if we are going to 3-peat. Uncharacteristic penalties, Brock missing more than I'd like on shorter passes (although I'm liking the accuracy on the long balls). Missed tackles will happen but where was the support on the Johnson run last week?

I know we aren't going to blow everyone out, and conference games are going to be tougher, but just some things I'd like to see buttoned up.

Definitely many uncharacteristic penalties and mistakes. We have high expectations of this team, but I think they have put those high expectations on themselves with their past success. I too would like to see them play much cleaner. I think they'll need to.

Southern Illinois looked very tough in the first half against a struggling UNI.

I have expected a lot better out of some of the crowds that I've seen on TV. Especially the JMU vs Richmond game. Good matchup and much of the stadium empty. I expected better out of James Madison. Same goes for the Delaware game and a few others. A lot of empty seats and dead crowds. You can't take for granted what you guys have up there in Fargo.

Why is winning some of these games considered ugly?? I didn't see the game today but a win over a team in our conference is huge. We play in the toughest conference in FCS football and because we don't blow teams out in the first quarter that's just not good enough huh?? Last I checked we won by 3 TD's, beat SDSU by 3 TD's and came back to beat a very good UNI team. Take the wins for what they are worth: working towards winning the conference, and then home-field throughout the playoffs against hopefully teams from other conferences that we can just grind into dust.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone that played during this time, but when I was in school from 95-00 the Bison won lots of games that were very pretty. Beating Morningside 63-7, St. Cloud St 42-0, etc. But when it came time to play the BIG games more often than not the Bison lost alot of those ugly games. I'd much rather win an "ugly game" than lose an "ugly game" any day of the week.

If teams keep on selling out vs the run we need to make them pay through the air.

Yes Its true. My wife and i each has one of the sausages and they were fantastic! Thanks PL and Tatanka! On a related note...some weird guy in a furry yellow coat was trying to get us to put money in his pants.

OK.....Several things may be at play here.

1) In line 1; Teach uses the word "has". Could it be that it is descriptive of what could be the present?

2) If, indeed, he DID mean to use "has" which clearly is violation of the Universal League of Verbs handbook, then that would indicate that at one time PL possessed more than one sausage.

3) Continuing our study of BT's use of "has".......perhaps his fingers and/or thumbs are so terribly bloated by all of the salt intake from the aforementioned sausage.....that it is simply a "side-by-side" keystroke error. ("D" vs. "S")

4) I couldn't be happier with his praise of both PL and Tatanka. Once again these two gentlemen have shown us the true meaning of their wonderful culinary collaboration.

5) Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't address the growing problem that all of us are no doubt aware of and that is.....what do we do with that fella with the furry coat. This would be reverend is nothing more than the spawn of Beelzebub. A wolf in sheep's clothing, as it were. Those piercing blue peepers would love nothing more than to transform all of us into hypnotized disciples of his yellow cloaked cult.

I really have no fucking idea where I'm going with all of this gibberish. Furthermore, on what planet is putting this shit in a GDT even remotely appropriate?

Congrats on your win (not that there was any doubt). One of these days we might have a coaching staff that can compete, this is not that year. For those that are wondering it looks like Harris has a knee sprain, given the hit I think that is a miracle. Obviously wasn't intentional by the Bison defender just an unfortunate football play. That play and the fumble (which I'm convinced was not recovered inbounds) really hurt us, not that it would have likely mattered. I believe we lose SDSU next year so the Bison should play at the new plaster next fall. Good luck the rest of the way.

Also, for those concerned Harris is listed as day to day for a sprain. Very fortunate it was not worse.

Thanks for the update. That play happened right in front of me and seeing him roll around on the turf in that much pain I feared the worst. Glad to hear it wasn't any more serious than a sprain.

Yeah, that fumble didn't look it was recovered in bounds to me either. Hope that Harris has a quick and complete recovery.

Glad to hear the injury wasn't season/career ending! Hope he rebounds quick! Not sure on the fumble, personally. I have only seen it live and it looked in bounds live, but I could very easily be persuaded with a replay.

Best of luck the rest of the way

Replay of the fumble recovery was blocked by the players standing on the sidelines (at least the angle they showed on TV). It would have been a VERY close call as he was almost on top of the sideline before the camera angle was blocked.

It was a big play, but I doubt it would have changed the outcome of that game if it had been overturned.
