Key FCS games:

Gardner Webb at Coastal Carolina 5 p.m. ESPN Game Plan/ESPN3- Gardner Webb after knocking off Wofford suffered a bad a loss to Charlotte last week, now they face a pivotal Big South match up against undefeated Coastal Carolina. CCU has been on fire in recent weeks, going for over 50 points in their last three games. Gardner Webb has a pair of huge wins vs Richmond and Wofford which makes their loss vs DI football newcomer Charlotte rather perplexing. The winner of this game will be in the driver's seat in the Big South title race.

Villanova at Towson 6 p.m. NBC Sports Network- After a slow start to the 2013 season Nova has gotten themselves back into the thick of things and now this is their chance to make a statement to the FCS that they are for real. But beating Towson will be no small task. The Tigers are undefeated in 2013 and feature a very balanced attack with Terrance West going for 130 yard per game on the ground and QB Peter Athens racking up almost 200 yards per game passing. This game will be a great test of just how good Nova's defense is.

Upset Special:
Richmond over JMU- The Spiders are pretty solid 2-3 team, taking North Carolina State to the wire and losing a few hard fought games with Maine and Gardner Webb. Look for them to bounce back in a big way and take down the Dukes in Harrisonburg on Saturday.

FCS Game of the Week:
SIU at UNI 4 p.m.- The Salukis are coming off a big win at SDSU while the Panthers are licking their wounds after suffering a tough loss to the Bison. Since 2007 every game in this series has been decided by 7 points or less. This is perhaps one of the MVFC's best rivalry games. Key to the game is SIU's defense trying to slow David Johnson, if he gets going the Panthers will be very tough to beat at home. SIU needs to win one game vs UNI or NDSU otherwise their playoff hopes will likely be dashed before Halloween.

UNI came in well prepared and ready to play football. Farley was complementary all of the preceding week and insured there was no bulletin board material. They played the absolute best game that they had. I credit them for their approach. However, they ran out of gas and just could not compete going down the stretch. I almost want to feel pity for them as they saw this freight train coming down the track and just could not get out of the way.

I agree with your analysis. The loss to the Bison will have a multi-week effect that will likely benefit another ND boy (and his resident stashe) who does need a break or two.

-120 means you've got to risk $120 in order to win $100. This is where the book makes their money. They want half the action on each side of the line so they can take $100 of the $120 you lose to pay the guy who won and keep the other $20 for themselves.

If isu red got a rb transfer, I know nothing about that. But siu got what sounded like a talented transfer from Iowa I think. But he was already suspended from the team (maybe even dismissed) very early in the season.

I like to think this is why Bohl never gets big transfers. They tend to end up at the baggage claim. Schools like Montana always have transfers and really I'm suprised they don't have more trouble.

Worst playcalling ever. So goddamn conservative when PSU twice failed to score on the front end of OT. Absolutely shameful.

That first OT was a joke...trying to get the ball down in the middle of the field and goes all the way to the right hash...and I told my wife that it was gonna get blocked and walked to get another drink...she had to ask me if it was a replay. Then the one he missed in the 4th OT was a no duh because he was afraid to kick it at the middle of the line(which would've been blocked again anyway).
