I believe that number was at 14 to start the season (using the TSN poll) so that would put them at about 20 now. No idea about how many weeks they've been ranked in the top 25.

They were only the top ranked team 3 times in 2011. The two weeks after the UNI game before the loss to YSU and the final poll. I'm pretty sure in 2012 they started the season ranked #2 behind SHSU until the CSU win and then had a week or two hiccup after the Indiana St loss. When the Bison reclaimed the top spot last year after the ISU loss they had 12 weeks at the top spot since they had joined the Valley (http://www.valley-football.org/news/default/2012-13/6222/four-league-teams-ranked-bison-back-at-no-1/) but I know at least two of those, possibly 3, were in early 2008. I think after the above article there were 4 more TSN polls that year including the postseason poll so I figured the total from 2011 and 2012 to be 14. Add in 6 more for this year and it's 20.

Btw, this was one of my "NDSU facts" I gave the admins on AGS for a sticky thread they did in August... I'm not this much of a nerd normally. ;) Consequently, the fact this brought out that I thought was interesting is that NDSU now has more weeks ranked as the #1 team in the country (in the TSN poll) as member of the MVFC/Gateway of any current Valley team including *gasp* UNI. In fact, the 2nd place team is the conference is SIU at 16 weeks.

potential for these guys to end their careers with:

50 wins overall
29 conference wins
14 playoff wins
24 OOC wins
24 Straight wins
3 MVFC Conference Titles 2 outright
3 National Titles
3 National Championships
4 Playoff Appearances
4 FBS Wins

that's pretty impressive, let's hope they end with the above numbers I know they deserve it, another note they have not lost an OOC game since 2010

Its their week, Last regular season home game for this group that has entertained us all thru lots of nitpicking by us armchair QB's, they have won against the odds of many critics, adversity and nay sayers.

Hopefully of the already great legacy these MEN will leave at NDSU is the underclassmen loaded with Knowledge and and understanding of the Tradition and being a team. I have to say I have had a total blast watching these guys from the Kansas game in 2010 grow into the machines they are today. What can you say about their dedication, determination and heart.

All I can say is thank you for all they have done to help NDSU set its place in the national spotlight and move to the top of the recod books in FCS in just a few short years.

Only 1 thing left to do a quote from one of my favorite movies "win the whole f***ing thing"

So, this is where it gets confusing.

I too remember Bohl saying that a class had the ability to win multiple titles, but the class that I remember him saying that about, because he was so excited during the press conference when they were announced, was the 2010 recruiting class.

And of course, you and everyone else realize I am sure that it is the 2009 class that are seniors, guys like Jensen, Jirik, Drevlow, Perry, Vaadeland, Gimmestad, Marcus Williams, etc.

Now, there are a few 2010 recruits also playing out their eligibility as seniors this year, but surprisingly few; Olson, Turner, and Smith. Heagle and Hinz also played as true freshman, but they used a RS year when they got hurt, so they are Jr eligibility wise.

So, do you remember Bohl saying this class (2009) would win multiple championships, or are you confusing 2010 and 2009 because there is a small mix of the 10 class in the 09 class using up their eligibility?

Senior Day is going to be something special. When you think of when you think of what this class has accomplished, and have yet to accomplish, its amazing when you step back and look at it. Going for an undefeated regular season for the first time since 1990 will make this day extra special. It was brought up on the postgame video blog about who will be the last senior through the tunnel. Big E mentioned it should be Grant Olson to give a huge motivational moment to the team. He would be a great choice. I think it has to be Brock. I think he is the heart and soul of this team. He is going to go down as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, quarterback to ever put on a Bison uniform. Then again, part of me wants to see them all come out together as one; much like the 2001 Patriots team at the Super Bowl. No matter what happens. It's going to be a moment that should be pretty amazing.

I for one tomorrow am gonna be a proud former player and now NDSU fan!! These guys have put their heart, soul , blood and personal integrity on the line for NDSU, their families, loved ones and us as fans!! They have sacrificed beyond what most realize in terms of college life. You don't know unless you have been there. Example (and I know he's not a senior) is Travis Beck in backseat of cop car saying, "Girls?!? I don't talk to girls dude, I play football"!!

Go Seniors--let's ride!!
