I lived in Minneapolis (St. Louis Park) for 12 years. There are a LOT more people who are assholes in that city than you ever will realize, even worse than out in the East Coast. I worked at a convenience store in inner city Minneapolis for 2 years, and I can say that without a doubt. I never want to live in the Twin Cities ever again in my life. I moved because I couldn't handle the traffic, and the people. It's not a smugness or arrogance, either. It's a brash, agressive, bullying behaviour. My brother works at a Subway in St. Louis Park. He could spend hours telling you horror stories about the people that come into his store.
That's why I love Fargo-Moorhead. ;)

I used to live in Miami, and Minneapolis is Little House on the Prairie by comparison. I'm not at all surprised that someone would have had bad experiences working in a convenience store - not just in Minneapolis, but anywhere. You may have noticed that convenience stores have a national reputation for somewhere you don't want to be at night. Some of the Miami convenience stores were actually declared off-limits to military personell. I've lived in the Metro area for 12 years, and Minneapolis the last eight years. I bought a house in Minneapolis four years ago, and don't plan to leave. I just haven't seen that people in Minneapolis are any more scary than anywhere else.

I knew people that worked at the Stop 'N Robs while I lived in Fargo and Moorhead in the 80s and they had tale to tell as well....

And they call it "Murderapolis" why???
Because they are full of crap, that's why. Anyone who thinks Minneapolis is an extraordinarily dangerous place has been no where near Miami.

Unfortunately even if convicted with our CJ system he'll just get a light sentence. *I am glad they caught the punk though. *This whole story just shows the problems our society has. *Your white and all of a sudden becuase of that you get sucker punched. *Why didn't the people around the area help Jeff or grab the kid and hold him for police? *Sad commentary on where we are as a society.
They should let the guy out and sentence him to wearing a Goldie goofer beanie and punching a Hawkeye fan on 11/18 and see what happens............
I'm thinking this guy should be looking at Federal charges in addition to local.
"My client thought the alleged victim was an evil leprechaun," announced Grey Poupon, Diijon's lawyer.
...or maybe I made that up. Man, I've always wanted to see the "evil leprechaun" defense.

Look at me, I'm a lawyer defending a guy who hates whitey, and I'm talkin' about evil leprechauns. Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense. None of this makes sense

Just a follow up; Murderapolis was JUST named the 27th MOST dangerous city in America. That is 27 out of 371! http://www.9wsyr.com/news/national/story.aspx?content_id=324f337d-85a4-4c31-a0af-d1da2460b4f5&rss=114

Fargo is the 47th SAFEST city. *Not too bad... we could be a lot worse like Sioux Falls at 149, which is 3 behind New York City at 146.

Multiply that by 100 and you have a small sample of Southern California.
