Can't decide if I miss the days of sitting in the first row by waiting for hours in line or having reserved seats. Seriously tough question! Definitely got harder to wait in line as tailgating got bigger.

I mentioned this in another thread, you can actually tailgate in the easy lot; just without alcohol.

The only quibble to be had is that there isn't a picture showing the students at their best. Time it so the picture is taken just before the doors open and find a way to show the entire line including the end. A couple of those photos got very close to the perfect shot, but the trees were in the way. The second to last photo was from a nearly perfect angle, but it was zoomed in too much(it was focusing on the SE lot - not a bad thing even if there are some questionable people who tailgate there).

Tailgating without alchohol is basically just sitting under a tent in order to kill time until the game starts. Why not full open that lot to proper tailgating?

Is that lab building controlled by NDSU or not? For some reason I thought it was run by the USDA or some other federal agency. If it's not controlled by NDSU, where does that property end and NDSU's begin?

What about the land to the north of the rugby field? Run a shuttle from there. Shoot, make it fun. Get some tractors painted up like the concrete truck or the fire truck that tailgates and do hay rides. Rainy or snowy days would suck, but odds are tailgating would be down from the weather anyway so tailgate spots wouldn't be at such a high demand.

I think the state has a ban on alcohol on college campuses. Drink at your own risk anywhere but the west dome lots.

Why don't they just expand a small spot here like on this map. Dome is approved so no issues. Pick one of these spots. For early season it will be enough for overflow to keep everyone happy and it appears easy to contain. Walking distance from the dome for bathrooms. Add a few johns and make the cops walk an extra block and call it a day
