-This could be preview of a first round playoff game. CCU is 2-0 and sitting on top of the Big South while EKU is licking their wounds after getting beat down by Louisville.
Montana at North Dakota 6 p.m. Fox College Sports Pacific/Midco/Big Sky TV
-Last year's game between these two programs featured some offensive fireworks, this year both teams claim to have improved their defense and so far only Montana has shown real improvement. With upcoming games with Montana State and EWU this might be an early season must win for the team with no name.

-EIU goes for the second win over the MVFC in as many weeks. The Panthers are looking like really good with two quality wins in their resume already while Ill State is still looking for their first win. Last year ISU narrowly defeated EIU in a 2OT thriller 54-51 and I expect this game to be tight again this year.

I want to see UND get thumped, but I see that Muss named Mollberg as the starter. With this move, Mollberg will be hungry to solidify his starting position, the team is pissed off and will want a win badly in front of a home crowd. The crowd will stay to the end of the game since they are playing Montana. I think UND will get the win here. The Griz are going into a hornets nest up North that is starved for a quality win. Plus, I think SDSU is tougher than the Griz. It will likely be close, but if UND whacked them by 14 I would not be shocked.

UND's defense is mediocre at best right now and IMO, JJ will have a field day up there tonight. If he plays like anywhere near his '11 season, this game could be a rout. Muss said that he thinks the Grizz are better than SDSU....:confused:...we'll see.

UND's non-existent running game is going to kill them this year.

The Grizz win this by 2 TDs. Mollberg and Bartels will probably throw it over 50 times.

Hammer doesn't even know the ball is spotted at the 25 after a touchback and the other guy thought Montana was rushing 4 when they sacked Mohlberg (only rushed 3).

But Montana has the best LB crew in the nation and one of the top DE (at least according to Hammer)

Quit watching EWU game with 20 seconds left and they were down 10. Glad they lost. Just need Montana to lose a game or two and the top seeding is wide open for NDSU to take (not that I think any other team would top them if they went undefeated). When you are in that position you don't do anything that is going to jepardize your chances. AKA don't give them the opportunity...if the QB had slid, or the play had not looked like a completly cluster we wouldn't even be talking about the game now. I'm not justifying what the officials did or didn't do, because Pac 12 officiating is well, it has something to be desired. But the one thing that hasn't been brought up in the whole ordeal of this is the Replay official had to buzz down. The Umpire looked really confused in the whole of everything, or he had money on the ASU. There was no communication between the White Hat and the rest of the crew he just backed away from the play.

But again, as a player, coach, team involved. You don't make it a sitatuation where that is the option. Make your intent obvious. His drop to a knee was so quick and out of nowhere that I went WTF. Slide make it obvious..Tell your freaking OLine to get the F out of the way or better yet block.

That goes to the Umpire who seemed to be the only one on the crew that didn't realize what happened, because he wasn't watching the ball and the R didn't step in and tell him put the ball and back away...still would have been 5 or 6 seconds left.
