If there is more info on bisonation, than why does it have only three verbals and you have four listed above? That website only has RJ as an offer.

Hey Sams, what do you now about Montana recruiting? Do we recruit there, or is it a lost cause with most of the kids there going to the Griz and the Bobcats? I counted 46 Montana kids on Bobcats roster, and 34 Montana kids with the Griz.

They go in state, west, and south west for majority of the players. Its a good formula for them. In recent years we have seen Montana and Montana State move into our territory but not much. We have dabbled in their territories too, most notably Arizona. (They recruit Minnesota now) But I don't think we've ever gone into Montana. Its probably not worth our time just as its not worth their time to attack North Dakota. Neither team will win many of those battles as they want to go to their hone state schools. Montana has more teams playing high school football but still... its a numbers game and Minnesota is much closer and has more people (with reciprocity we get to stretch or dollars further in ND/SD/MN.

Just my opinion but I think its better to focus on Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa. Its in our conference/ recruiting footprint. SDSU and Northern Iowa have done well in those areas too

I for one have never been a big fan of recruiting Arizona, Florida, Texas, etc unless we can find a stud corner or skilled player. If we have to look to warm weather climates for Lineman and linebackers were not doing well in our traditional footprint. Sorry for the rant

Hey RTO, I just got a $50 off coupon from Herbergers if you spend $100 or more. It's only good for Friday and Saturday though and I'll be in Bemidji so I can't use it. Since I know how much you like to shop more than doing anything else, like say watching Bison football games, you can have it if you'd like.

Well, with a trip to Shannalee, our personal shopper appointment at Lot 2029, and getting together for umbrella drinks with the girls at Monte's (TV's better not be on NBC), I don't know if we will make it to Herbergers. Besides, we don't shop at national chain stores. Too many poor, fat people. Thanks for the thought, though.

ps - I know of some really amazing boutiques in Bemidji. Call me!

Watched Stanley Jones play bb tonight. Bismarck vs Minot. IMHO he was by far and away the most athletic and explosive kid on the floor. Solid kid with a great vertical. As a comparison he was faster, quicker and more explosive that Larson from Minot and it wasn't even close.

King is in school and has moved to Fargo as of this weekend. He is going to play for the Bison...and dominate. For 3 years. This is big news. Consider if official. My "guess" is that Kolpack will discuss things with him soon.

Actually, I almost agree with CAS, but instead, why don't you give it a break. As in give it a rest.

I was simply trying to let Tony know he could add another PWO to the list on the first page of this thread.

You must have missed post #19 in this thread

Here is any idea, how about those who want this upated reply with the update. that way tony can just copy and paste

that is if I am reading your post correctly, is that what you want?

Uh, Isaiah Frandsen has been in school at NDSU all year and was a PWO WR on the team last fall. Isaiah Lesure is a high school WR in Wisconsin who was verbally committed to NDSU, but who may have switched to WIU. 2 different guys.

My sources in Michigan tell me that Williams just got re-offered by Northern Illinois, which is where he wanted to go in the first place, and Miami-FL. I told them it must be Miami-Ohio, but they said now, big time football school in FL.

While I still doubt the Miami-FL offer, I think it is clear that Williams has gotten discovered and that he will also be a de-commit in the near future.

The downside of having so many early commitments and an increased national profile is that our staff will be spending the next two weeks trying to protect our flanks. There will be lots of attempted poaching. We may lose kids to FBS or "better offers" from other FCS programs.

Putting things in perspective, I'm thinking about what was happening on December 8 and where I thought our program would be at in mid-January. I originally heard that Bohl was taking the entire staff to Wyoming. I thought we would have to do a national search for a new coach and that we would struggle to maintain some continuity in the program. I thought we would lose a bunch of our most coveted commitments from recruits. I thought it might take a year or two to put the pieces back together.

What has actually happened is remarkable. We got Chris Klieman as our head coach! We kept Jim Kramer! We kept Nick Goeser and Conor Riley. We have seen that the returning players are happy and excited to move forward. Klieman has pieced together a new coaching staff that has good experience, especially in the MVFC and our recruiting territories, and tremendous enthusiasm. He has kept most of our recruits on board and added several more. He brought in King Frazier as a transfer. He has reached out to the fan base very effectively. And oh, we got another national championship!

More than most here, I can easily get bummed out by losing a recruit or two. When I look at the big picture, I've never been more excited to be a Bison fan. It is always a great day to be a Bison.

Go Bison!!

Well said. It's quite amazing where we are at. Less than 2 months after we think everyone is gone in the middle of a playoff run, we three peat and put together an amazing staff full of players with MVFC and more importantly NDSU roots. We kept Kramer. Kept virtually all of the recruiting class that already looked really good to begin with and are targeting some really good players to close this class out. For a team that lost a lot of coaches, we have done an incredible job of holding everything together.

On paper, where does this class rank? I say as a whole it has to be #1 with the numbers and quality. Hard to say if any will develop into the caliber of players like Brock, Ryan Smith, Ryan Drevlow, Leevon, Grant Olson, Billy, Gimmie, Grothman, Marcus, Cole, etc.

I don't like to look at it year by year but I think the 2 year signing class is collectively as good as any we've ever had. The key will be retention. The 09-10 classes not only were loaded with talent, most of them stuck it out.

Duh Laramie Wyoming is Laramie Wyoming.
Hes one of the players I really wanted before the coaching change up. Would be a great signing assuming he's been studying the Tampa 2 play book. He would be a step ahead

But he will probably go to the Illinois State Red Turds since that's where he initially signed.

Hope we can get him. Fargo is way better than Laramie

I dont think people who havent been to Laramie realize how bad it is. The best way to compare it would be if the U of Wyo was in Williston. Then again Williston has way more going for it than Laramie. We could really use this guy.

...all of this. I have relatives who attended the same HS as this guy. In addition to being a talented football player he sounds like a good guy. I hope he considers NDSU. Wonder what Coach Bohl will do regarding releasing Vega from his commitment?

I enjoyed the view of Laramie. In my rear view mirror...

Did this guy visit Fargo?

He visited I think the week Bohl announced to his team via CBS Sports that hes leaving. Quickly after he committed to ISU Red. Of course we didn't even have a head coach hired by then so I don't blame the kid.

Laramie has always been shittier than Williston Mandan and Dickenson combined...I liken it to Moorhead if Moorhead was not in the F-M. I have to say when I was a young buck being recruited (wrestling) by wyoming Laramie and how nice is was had nothing to do with my decision....just saying!

Could be interesting transfer possibly?

Wyoming DT John Jackson from Arizona has left the team. He was redshirting. Another case of high attrition from AJ Cooper. Hes the 2nd DT he stole from us. Karmas a bitch. We offered him as well as many teams in the MVC and Big Sky

Rather grab Hubbs and another DT (Windsor) from HS than a transfers from Wyoming via AZ
