MSU sucks.....think Alabama in the SEC, whom the Bison beat in the BSA years ago.

That said, Martha Awal, a 6'4" kid out of Worthington MN, has made a career out of blocking shots in the SEC. Will be interesting to see how she plays against the Bison.

The schedule looks weak. Might be an opportunity to have a better record though.

By contrast, SDSU plays:

Texas, Stanford and super midmajor Florida Gulf Coast in Puerta Vallarta,
Hosts Penn State,
and plays Notre Dame in South Bend (the original UND has been to the last 3 FInal Fours, including 2 national title games).

...and gets notre dame in Brookings for a return game in future years

Sent from somewhere using my Win8 phone or something.

Meanwhile, ndsu doesn't even fill a full roster much less snag high quality opponents.

If we played "high quality opponents" we'd get our butts handed to us even worse!
This year will be bad enough as it is..........

Its the price we pay for being awful. SDSU has put themselves in a nice spot when comes to scheduling. High majors scheduling us would do little for them other then a little tune up.

Eight of the teams we are playing this year made the post season last year.

The disparity in schedule strength and success of the programs isn't just a result of the DeHoff era. SDSU had a more high arching plan and expansive vision with regards to their womens' basketball program from the onset of the transition 10 years ago. Jackrabbits were playing the tough teams early on and as a result, they attract local kids who want to do great things and see great places. And, they know they can be successful. They've also got a reputation of a team you don't want to play in March.
