View Full Version : Crowd noise?

Anybody heard what the Bison doing different as far as cadence, hand signals, etc. to counter the noise? I am guessing they are doing the loud music thingy, but surely our superior coaching staff is devising something to account for noise if KSU happens to stay in the game.

Can't remember the last time crowd noise was a factor against the Bison so figure it is something a little new for the offense.

Gets loud at UNI.

I think it makes more sense to practice with earplugs than to crank up the stadium radio. I remember GSU #2 had a local news story I saw where they were practicing with the noise pumped in, and thinking it was not going to do much for preparation.

I wonder if K St will be ready for the noise? Just sayin'.

The NDSU offense will learn to communicate via telepathy.

then why all the fuss? it's a relatively small, open air stadium filled with a bunch of nice people. i don't get this thread given the bison environs.

I don't get why you keep posting here? Now I will post what you want to hear and maybe you will leave:
KSU is almighty.........they have God for a coach..........they rebuild like no other FBS team and make perfect halftime adjustments......NDSU has little or no chance to win........the family stadium is the bestest of all college stadiums.......the noise emitted by k-state fans is greater than all other people.........the bison will crap and piss themselves playing football in Manhattan.
If your fans are sick of Bison fans having pride and confidence in our team, K-state fans take the cake thinking their program is among the elite in FBS. You had a couple very good seasons in the past 10 years........big whoop!

They don't do too much in the way of piping in Welcome to the Jungle, or any of that vikings crap.

They do play the Wabash Cannonball a ton, but it's pretty cool to see the crowd when they do.

Great environment for college football.

I'd like to welcome you all to an event that's sometimes been called the Automotive counterpart to the Bay of Pigs.

When they are down by 10 late in the fourth quarter I can't imagine that it will be that loud at all.

it is relatively un-loud at k-state. this thead is really silly given you play in the fargodome. i can't imagine why it's a topic.

Yes, this guy is annoying. But seeing that the poor bastards on the KSU board have to deal with a 30+ page long thread 90% of which is JBB replying to himself and calling it "a blog".... Yeah, we've gotten the better end of the deal!

It will probably be one of, if not the best away game atmospheres you guys have experienced. Should be a fun time.

Yeah, kind of humerous listening to him argue with himself.

that depends..right now probably yes. Back in 2008 when Colt had UT on the national championship picture, I went to the A&M game and the atmosphere was great.

in 2010 when I went to the same game, Garret Gilbert sucked ass and UT lost to the Aggies...and UT didn't even get into a bowl game, and the atmosphere sucked.

Right now Longhorn fans are getting ready for two things...getting anally raped by KSU, and getting anally raped by oklahoma. Other then that the season forecast is optimistic they can win 10 games!

At least he's not spamming gay porn like he did at CS.com. For the record, one of the more humorous meltdowns I've witnessed.

It was loud in tmcats' mom's room last night, but it didn't seem to affect the performance of the team.

Surprisingly, UTs atmosphere is kind of weak. Probably due to the fact that most of their fans are wine and cheesers and get mad if you stand up and yell. On a side note, I have no idea what Deloss Dodds sees in Mack Brown. I would expect better out of a kstate grad. Mack has mastered the art of doing less with more. Nice guy though.

Nothing very intimidating about DKR Stadium at all...very nice but very tame. Its also due to the opponents...if Oklahoma St or KState are top 10 teams, that's really the only opportunity they get to see a top 10 team on the schedule. The rest is crap out of conference games, Tech, Baylor and Kansas. TCU/WV have a good season here and there
