Alcohol is prohibited on University property except in designated areas which means only the suites at the stadium. However they will overlook alcohol if:

-It's in plastic cups. DO NOT drink from cans/bottles. Be careful when pouring from cans/bottles into cups.
-You are not obviously drunk/underage/behaving badly.

Man, I hate laws that are selectively enforced. Why not just make a rule that alcohol is allowed in plastic cups like NDSU?

ISU is a great comparison. I've been all over the former Big 8, and ISU is the most like KSU. Both schools have large lots adjacent and near the stadium filled with tailgaters.
