feels like it will work out. if it was a team like the bobcats or wizards i wouldnt see him doing very well. but i think the celtics are a good fit and organization for him. i think the players will respect him and want to play for him. plus he has a top pg to build around

I dont think it will. Guys a teacher...not an ego manager. He'll be back in college in 5 years.

Will Rondo put up with him?

This was a bass-ackwards move for the Celtics. It will be hard to fill Doc's shoes. Although I understand the need for a change in the organization, I doubt he'll be able to handle it.

Celts tried a college coach before, didn't work then doubt it will work now. Sad to see him leave the college ranks.

Why do you hate this move?

This ain't your Leonard Hamilton or mike montgomery going to shitty teams. Celtics are a good fit. Rondo along with Jeff green and Brandon bass are good pieces to help build with

Butler appointed their assistant coach. Interesting.

I'm not a fan of the pro game, its ego's or its lack of team concept. I love college ball and hate seeing good college coaches who know how to teach the game and can make an impact at that level leave to become nothing more than game managers who have little to no control over the prima donnas they are hired to coach.
