Good post westnodak93bison. I also found this yesterday afternoon. Just in time to watch the men's 800m semi-finals. I just missed the women's ... would have enjoyed watching Laura Roesler run. The feed was really good ... very good clarity ... the computer I was using was, apparently, fast nough to handle it.

Also to add ... the other feeds provide looks at different things going on. The main feed is the track events, the other feeds included things like pole vault, shot put, etc.

Casey Orgon is up for Hammer today.
Leslie Brost, pole vault, for tomorrow.

Good luck you guys ... go kick some butt ... be defiant ... use some reckless abandon.

A respectable outing. He threw 199, his best is (I believe) 217 ft which would have been good for about 5th place and 1st team all-american. A great accomplishment to get that far. Woudl have been nice to see him get his best throws of his life.

Leave to ESPN to screw up a good thing. The OR webcast with 5 feeds was awesome. ESPNU..not so much.

I don't know how others feel, but overall I was disappointed with the performance of the Bison at the national track meet.

People performed respectively, but in meets like this where everyone needs to 'step up', the Bison did not. I don't know if there were confidence problems, injuries, bad food, or something else. I would guess insufficient mental preparation was the main reason, but I am only speculating ... I really do not know why. If I remember right, Casey threw his best hammer ever at the West Regionals, so this was a high point for the team. Then the '199' in the finals, one of his lower performances outdoors to finish the year.

Well, I hope the Bison do better next year. It is not fun having a year to think about a disappointing performance - or a lifetime for those not coming back - but I hope those who are coming back have a better year next year at the NCAAs.

The OR webacast was free. ESPN was not ... so I could not view it. Tried, but was shut out. Yes, the OR webcast was great. ESPN U was not. If it would have stayed at OR ... not only would it have been available today for everyone (apparently), but with the 5 feeds, one of them would have been on Orgon in the hammer yesterday, and one on Brost in the pole vault today so we coudl have watched them. Instead, we did not get to see either of them.

Darn !!

USD women's pole vaulter Buell took home the championship. That's a big feather in their hat.

Very impressive for USD.

USD girl won the women's pole vault and another took 7th.
