Just got off the phone with Adam who is in charge of group sales. He said they had more new season tickets requests than expected so they could not fill my request for tickets. Plus NDSU took their full allotment of 3,000. I then called Josh at NDSU. Josh stated that all tickets are spoken for and credit cards are being run today. This really sucks as I needed 110 tickets to fill the requests that I was told would be no problem. Sorry to all who are effected by this. I am now scrambling for tickets as well.

This times 1000. There are always tickets available on game day, especially when the opponent is a FCS program. Remember how the Gopher game was a sellout? Until game day when there were thousands of tickets available. And they were great seats. I know KSU isn't the Gophers, but believe me, there will be plenty of tickets available and a lot of these will be good seats.

I'm really pissed that I didn't jump on the tickets that EZ and friends got. Those were good seats at a reasonable price.

I assume being the season opener is why the NDSU game is sold out, and also they know we travel so probably lots looking to make a dime. in 2011 during the Cotton Bowl while we were there for the NC talked with lots of K State fans that were looking forward to the game. Last year there were a couple K state fans in the NDSU section at the NC so should be a good time

You miss the points of sitting row 1:

1. We are undefeated when I sit row 1, dating back to 07 Gopher game
2. Closer to the field to trash talk with players
3. I get to decide if I stand the entire game or not. If there are NDSU fans behind me, that means they are now standing as well. I call it College Football 101.

Exactly. If I want "sight lines" I have a 50+'' TV and a nice couch for a nap in my living room. I'm going to the game to a part of it. Row 1 has the best sight lines IMO anyway...no one in front of you.

No - Just reading that alot of BISON fans are needing tickets to the K-State game. A few wks ago, someone in the K-State ticket office advised me to call at 11:59pm Tuesday nite. Guess that's not going to work!
I'm getting an education (on the other topic/site regarding the Bison fans who donate to team makers, yet aren't able to get season tickets. Yet many season ticket holders, may only have one point per year for their seats... & not donate at all. (other than the $ for their seats of course) Interesting stuff.

First, they didn't seem aware that they are playing us the first game of the season. They didn't seem too interested in the game. Hopefully this ambivalence carries over to the rest of the fan base and the players and coaches as well.

Secondly, they said that tickets shouldn't be too hard to find on game day. They said the average K State fan doesn't get too excited about the opening non-conference games, so tickets are easier to come by earlier in the season, especially against an FCS opponent. They said once the Big-12 season starts, tickets are a little harder to find.

Thirdly, they seemed to feel that because the opening game falls on Labor Day weekend, tickets should be even easier to come by. They thought that a lot of fans will opt for something else to do that weekend.

So, if you don't have tickets, don't panic. It sounds like there should be plenty of tickets available for this game, right up to kick-off. The season ticket holders haven't received their ticket packets yet. Once they do, I have a feeling that quite a few opening day game tickets will become available. My advise would be don't be afraid to travel without tickets. You'll be able to get tickets at the stadium on game day.

remember, this is a 50k seat stadium. all the seats have great sight lines. you will love it up there but miss the student body and pride effect.

i would think the other end of the field would be hard to see. but those are cheap seats so the expectations should be low and thus reality will probably better. lots of folks find themselves there throughout the season for big games. so, i suspect it's good enough, barely.

just purchased 2 tickets on powercat ticket exchange on k state sports.com. Sec 428 row 18 seat 1 and 2. $35 for the pair plus $12 fee. I also had to pay a $25 membership fee to powercat exchange. I think who ever listed these made a mistake since the next cheapest tickets are like $300 for 2. I think I got a real good deal at $36 a tic after all the fees and stuff. Anyone one else think a listing mistake was made? Thoughts? Printed tickets at home so have them in hand.

Seems to be a decent amount of tickets left on StubHub for those still looking. Most away fans sit in the 400 corners (top section) or the SE endzone corner (section 18, 19, and 20).

Yep, got emails too that Stubhub and Denver Ticket Company (ebay) Tickets have shipped. As soon as they arrive, our NDSU tickets can get into the hands of NDSU students & everyone will be happy!

Super lucky find for me!

Then I toss them in the trash by accident when cleaning out my car at gas station. Get home and 5 minutes later decide to bring in tickets for some odd reason. Panic when they are not there, speed back to gas station, dig through garbage, find them...jackpot!

Oh my. This is why I am picking up my tickets at the Will Call window at 3pm on Friday, August 30. This way I can't panic from the realization that I 1) left them in my drawer at home; or 2) lost them on a flight.

I've noticed a downward trend in StubHub prices in the last few days. Two weeks from game time and fans would rather sell at lower price than not at all. The same amount of tickets seem to be up so must not be many more K-State fans or NDSU fans looking for tickets.

You can do better than $4. A lot of gyms and restaurants in the KC/Lawrence area give KU tickets away for free. The football scene is night/day between K-State and KU. I hope Bison fans can make it to Manhattan because it will be a completely different experience than the KU game in Lawrence a couple years ago.
