Gabe, no offense, but what are you talking about? Every damn seat was filled, but when the second game is at 8:30 and many have kids there and jobs, they are going to leave and go to bed when your team is done. Further, there are no tickets to be had for NDSU fans.

It was a fantastic turnout last night. Atmosphere during Jacks game was electric and reminded me to the Fargodome GSU game.

I find it humerous that there is a superstition about starting the thread on the actual gameday.... As if these "superstitions" have any value (or a high success rate).
How did the Akron, Minnesota, Indiana, Western Illinois (x2), SDSU, Green Bay or Oakland games go this year?

Solid point. I tip my cap to you. With that said, a lesson has been learned; this thing never really sold out like it did this year. Next year, I think I will just buy four seats (and they are nearly sold out already) and sell if NDSU does not advance.

To most, the GD Threads are an intersting read while a small minority has some firm beliefs and notions about the threads that now touch on 'tradition' (and we do know how that works!).

Others may take an action to break the GD Thread tradition believing that it is their perogative to support only those traditions that will benefit themselves as was demonstrated and aptly argued in this very thread.

So I ask the nay sayers (those who break with tradition) to put yourself in this scenario: You are in the dugout or field during a stellar baseball game and your pitcher is on his game. No runs given up. No Hits. No walks. No errors. Would you be the one to openly and loudly state during the seventh inning stretch: "Hey, Ace has a perfect game going here!". I think not. And if you did, I would expect the wrath of God and your teammates to match the fervor created by the original intent of this thread. After all, some things are simply known to be held as sacred!
