Does anybody here think Bohl would take a player back who had been kicked off the team but acquitted of rape charges?

I doubt it, but interested in what others think.

To try to avoid a heavy lawsuit most teams would do anything!

The charges never should have been brought. Read up on the testimony from the supposed victim. There was no rape. Period.
Considering that fact and many more I would have no problem with him rejoining the team.

I followed this trial everyday on twitter. It was really scary to think of how little evidence is needed to be charged of rape. When it came down to it the chick was messed in the head and it showed when the jury deliberated for only 2.5 hours. The answer is he was never found guilty of a crime but we have players on our roster who were guilty of a crime during the football season. I think CB would indeed allow him back onto our team if he played for us.

Meh. It's not like the media and UND fans haven't already crucified Bohl for "having a team full of criminals."

As long as it's shown that no crime has been committed (which it has in this case) I would have no problem with Coach Bohl letting them back on the team.

What kind of nutjob coach would NOT let the kid back? He was found innocent. What would keeping him of the team accomplish?

I would also have no problem with CB taking him back. He was innocent and deserves a 2nd chance at Montana if he wants to go back there.

This. If half of what I've read about this case is true, I'd have a huge problem with him not being reinstated if this happened here.

Totally unfair if he was found innocent and they didn't let him back on. I suppose you could get into WHY he was found innocent, like a legal technicality that got him off the hook in an otherwise open and shut case of guilty. But if he didn't do it that's horrible to punish him by not allowing him back.

The Forum would have full sections devoted to it and McFeely's head would explode.

If he didn't break any team rules that would ordinarily get someone kicked off the team, then I have no problem with that since he was found not guilty.

I think he would.....the kid is innocent right.

Meh...In the grand scheme of things, he's pretty irreverent. His Web site is a niche for a certain demographic, similar NAMBLA.org.

I do enjoy reading it though...I always like to imagine Eric Cartman saying Rob's words.

If we are constitutionally presumed innocent until proven guilty and then not proven guilty, he is to be presumed innocent. There is no reason to keep innocent people off a team.
