Just realized I put this in the wrong forum but looks like we now know why MSU was in a rush to buy us out....

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Montana State University's athletic department is facing a budget crunch that has it raising ticket prices, asking for higher donations from boosters and asking the school for another $1.1 million to buy new equipment, hire trainers and stabilize the department's budget.

Athletic Director Peter Fields said even though athletics is bringing in more money than ever, in part because of an expansion of the football stadium, other costs such as travel, medical insurance and scholarships have risen rapidly.

Sucks to be the GREAT BIG SKY school....hummm

Just imagine that fires that would burn if this were to happen at NDSU. I am a believer that Gene Taylor
works very hard not to let that happen......Now the clown..up north probably not so much. Consider
how they are going to pay for their increased travel costs in the Big Sky....

I know people don't like the money in hand before building concerning the SHAC but this is why it is done. Imagine if MSU started to suck the next few years and loses ticket revenue and wouldn't need the expansion they just built with borrowed money.

MSU having budget problems? With that leadership in place? Shocking.
