.........and I would have NDSU rated higher. I am one of those #1 votes for NDSU.

After Montana's sqeaker over Poly and NDSU's blowout, I assumed the Bison would go higher than the Grizzlies. *:(

all we can do it cheer for the Bobcats this weekend!

kinda scrange parallelism between programs here.

9-1 Montana squares off with 7-3 Montana State

9-1 NDSU squares off with 7-3 SDSU

Both home games for the 9-1 teams
Monana and NDSU are rated very similar in the poles and SDSU and MSU are rated very similar in the poles
Both are rivalry games.

I had a feeling that is how the AGS Poll would turn out. Are people hesitant to place NDSU high? My gut tells me that with each week as NDSU makes a case for #1 (a spot we will never get even if we beat SDSU by 100) voters do not want to give it to us. Have we flown too high, too fast?

We are better than Montana, no question. We deserve to be at least higher than them.

Good point. I got to cheer for the Bobcats.

AGS poll result didn't surprise me either. They do not want to put a transitioning team in the #2 or #3 spot. Also, I am sure the Griz fans that vote and the large number of east coast teams in DI-AA skew the numbers due to homerism. Will be intersting to see how the other polls come out, but I don't expect much of a difference. Regardless, the Bison are #1 to me. Would be fun to watch this Bison team beat up on the Griz or one of those top east coast teams. But that won't happen on the field. Thank you NCAA (yeah, I know, the rules said so from the beginning).

This is about where I thought we would be in the AGS poll.
Being ranked fourth in this poll shows that NDSU is getting a lot of respect around the country.
I don't agree with it, but what the heck.

What actually surprised me the most the the Sports network poll, where we received 8 first place votes. We doubled our number of first place votes in that poll.

NDSU is #4 in the Sports Network poll too:

It doesn't mean anything until after NDSU plays SDSU anyway. Then, hey, what if the the teams ranked ahead of NDSU lose in the first round? I sure don't think NDSU can jump ahead of the defending champions until they lose.

#4 across the board in the polls on 1-aa.org. Understandable but kind of disappointing.

;D ;D After the Bunnies thump ya in the Dome, you'll slip! ;)

BTW, Nice run this year. That solitary #1 pre-season for the Bison looks like somebody thought you guys had a great team this season. ;)

Bunnies are #15 in the GPI. 16-19 in the various polls. Poly is just above the Jacks in most polls after their Bison loss.
