NDSU has played 36 of the 122 teams currently in the FCS in the last decade. That's more than any other FCS school.

Sacramento State and Idaho State have only played 12 of the 122 teams currently in the FCS. In fact, all 12 teams they've played are currently members of their own conference.

Good stat! As it is said: "Bring on the competition!" I love the fact that NDSU takes on so many teams. Helps that they see them in the playoffs.

It's been a secret dream of mine to play every FCS team. Only 3 non-conference games a year makes that hard, and scheduling most east coast teams is almost impossible. It's a start though.

Good info Tony! Here is some info that is readily available, but you rarely hear anyone talk about it. In the 10 bowl / championship games the Bison have won, the narrowest margin of victory is 9 points (1968), and the largest 40 points (1990). 2012 was the 4th largest margin of victory at 26 points.

More stats about our program. I was killing some time this afternoon and I was going through the 2012 media guide. There are some defensive stats that I found pretty amazing.

6 times the Bison have allowed 0 Passing yards in a game. 3 of those were against UN_. ha ha. One of those times, they went 0 for 18. double ha ha. ha ha

USD once had a total yardage of -18. How bout that Bison Defense.
