Akron won their 16th straight game today. I watched a bit of the second half, they like to press a bit and have some good shooters to go along with Zeke. That said they did turn the ball over 20 times...should be an interesting match up. The webcast from the MAC was not only free but very good.

Akron is some ways is similarly situated to NDSU and SDSU...they are the highest RPI ranked teams in a conference where the balance is not good. I did a quick look, but the second ranked RPI team in the MAC is Ohio at 80 then it drops to Western Michigan at 114. They have a good win against Middle Tennessee (#30) and a bad loss to Coastal Carolina at 226.

Bison still #1 in RPI after last night's Valentines Day Massacre....

Kind of weird that NDSU could have the highest Summit RPI and be the #4 seed in the tournament.

Not really an RPI update but it is interesting that NDSU thumped two teams(Towson and JMU) that are tied for second in the CAA at 10-5 in conference play. I do understand the CAA is a bit down this year but it's impressive nonetheless. I'm guessing this was the toughest non-conference schedule we've ever had.
