No. He did say that the last time NDSU got a kid from Florida was Justin Gatlin via NDSCS. Wentz is a direct recruit from Florida.

I'm sure he's a smart kid although it can't be an old-school grading system if "He has over a 4.0 grade-point average" as noted in the article someone else posted.

We didn't get extra points for taking AP classes so our valedictorians had 4.0 GPAs. (I could never get an A in English so I never had a 4.0.)

But perhaps an even bigger performance was put in by DHS first baseman Connor Wentz who delivered what proved to be the biggest blow of the game in the fourth inning when he took a 1-0 off-speed pitch over the left-center field fence to put the Tigers ahead 7-5.

Wentz finished 2-for-2 with a triple, home run, three RBI, two runs and was even walked intentionally twice.

I thought it would be nice to revive this thread, since it is about a tight end that can actually catch the ball when it is thrown to him. Been awhile since we haven't seen the TE drop a catchable ball. Maybe he should move up the depth chart..... Or at least spend more time on the field in passing situations?
