Looked thru the threads and haven't seen any updates from those already on their way from Fargo to Frisco.

Any road reports, regarding bad road conditions, speed traps, traffic cams, etc for us leaving later on would be appreciated.

Almost to Topeka. Roads were horrible until Sioux Falls. Several cars flipped over. Sioux City has the electronic eye rolling so we are expecting that photo/bill.

The only time I have been to south padre was after a hurricane and there was red tide. Absolutely miserable.

My wife and I arrived in Plano and checked into the Quality Inn & Suites at 5 PM tonight. We drove from Lincoln, NE departing at 8 AM this morning. Great driving weather. Much of our trip was on Hwy 81 which was 4 lanes the entire way to near Wichita and then I-35. Cruised at 75 to 90 mph for most of the trip. Almost got nabbed for speeding in Oklahoma. Did not see any other Bison fans during our travels, but there are some other Bison fans already checked into our hotel. Any suggestions for steak or BBQ near Plano Pkwy & Preston Rd?

Someone wrote in to McFooly today that about 100 of the about 300 people who live in Munich are going down to watch their hometown boy Travis Beck; pretty amazing. To all of you heading down; drive safe and responsibly, honk and show your horns as you see other Bison fans on the road, party hard, show them southerners how we tailgate, be loud, stand the whole game, and cheer on the Bison to one more win and return as champions once angain.

We left Fargo at 5:30 last night. Patches of black ice in SD until we got past Brookings then roads were much better. Stopped in Elk Point to fill up the car at $2.93 (lowest we have seen) Cameras were out on the north side of Sioux City IA so watch your speed. We pulled into Topeka about 3am and checked into Motel 6 (they left a light on) Swag & kids are still sleeping I am thinking it is time to get breakfast .. then I will work for about an hour before waking them up and getting back on the road.

Oh man...great night at Redneck Heaven. 3 tables of NDSU fans and one of SHSU fans (they sent a waitress over to ask what I thought of their orange cowboy hats...i said they made a nice porta-potty).

The 15 year old with us managed to get provocative pictures with nearly every waitress in the building as they all gushed over him (every female worker wearing bras and short shorts...bonus!)

Arrived at 3 today. Stayed at the Holiday Inn express in Emporia and ate breakfast with a room of Bison fans. Hotel in Frisco has a big Championship banner and Bison Fans everywhere. Talked to the front desk and he said 95% of people are from North Dakota. Cars in the parking lots with Bison flags. Weather is chilly but compared to Fargo it feels warm. Cant wait till tomorrow.

There was a charter bus down to the D-II championship game that drove straight through to Florence. I felt sorry for the waitresses as some restaurant in Tennessee where we stopped for breakfast and they had to deal with dozens of drunks asking them over and over what grits are.
