Gold Star Marching Band and Frisco

Does anyone know if they again doing a transportation fund for the Gold Star Marching Band
to go to Frisco??

I know they are on the schedule for the Pep Fest, just curious if they are
doing fund raising again?

I never said they will not be there I said they are already scheduled to appear, that would sure
indicate to me that they will be there.

The question is are they doing a public fund drive to help pay for it...

I believe last year a private booster picked up the tab but I am not 100% sure. I don't have any connections to the band members this year like last year.

A couple of my friends are still in the band, they mentioned of trying to get alternate funding methods in the future. I offered that they could sell the naming rights of the band to Michelob and be the McGolden Light Star Marching Band. :cheers:

So based on this they are trying to arrange some funding, and yes last year other sources did provide some funding, and they radio stations
were talking about it also. I think Fargo Brewing company was involved and many others.

Get it together Bisonville, give the band director an envelope with your help on Saturday. I am sure it will all
be appreciated. Small or not it all will help.

They're raising funds again. I know this cause I got the call from the development foundation today. Wrote the check again. Gene Taylor kicked in $10,000 again. A band alum kicked in $10K last year hope he steps up again. They'll be there. But I hope next year they put a travel expense in their budget to the president and student government. Last minute fund raising sucks.

I believe the NCAA covers the cost for a certain number (16?) of cheerleaders/mascots/instructors.

There is a portion of the cheer team that travels to every away game on the team charter during the regular season. The athletic dept probably kicks in if necessary for this game.
