Check out these stats:
He attempted 71 shots from 3 pt range and 108 shots total and ZERO assists. Can you say ball hog? As I'm typing this it just showed up on ESPN

The kid took 3 shots every minute. Must have been just a gross game to watch.

He needs to ice his arm like Drago did after the fake punt pass back when, but his would be for real.

To put it in perspective, the previous school record was 89 points. Faith Baptist Bible, Grinnell's opponent and the posterchild for $hitty defense, has just accepted an invite to join the Big Sky conference and will immediately be the #1 ranked football defense for points allowed.

I played against Faith Baptist Bible several years ago when I was going to school in the cities. They played the likes of Trinity Bible from Ellendale.

And he had 0 assist.

Sounds like a fun team to play on. Lets watch Jack toss up 100 shots a game.

the LA Lakers are now scouting him to be the replacement for current ball hog Kobe Bryant.

A player from the other team had a crazy game also:

From the yahoo article
"Taylor's game was so astounding it overshadowed the 70 points Faith Baptist's David Larson had on 34-of-44 shooting."

It's easy to do when you play 2 on 2 NBA Jam style. Boom shakalaka, he's on fire!

Sort of like the small schools play 9 man football, small DIII schools play 2 on 2 NBA Jam style.

Am I the only one wondering why this kid played 36 minutes? His team was up by 39 at half.

75% of his points were from full court heaves that he got layups on

I not defending him. I think it is a complete joke. My comment was on the Bison women's team trying this tactic.

That was the player from Faith Baptist that scored 70 in the same game. Grinnell would put two defenders on the inbound to try and force a turnover. Faith Baptist would have to try a full court heave to get over the defenders and the rest of the full court press. Grinnell's game plan is okay with giving up the easy layup as long as they get the ball back quickly, so there was usually a Faith Baptist player sitting all alone at the other basket. As long as the inbound pass got past half court, Faith Baptist was going to get a quick and easy 2. That's why they were able to score 104 while Grinnell scored 179.
