Kolpack was absolutely right about the downfall of the NCC being caused by changes in NCAA rules.
He errs severely by blaming this on then NCAA President Walter Byers. The NCAA membership made the rule changes.
The downfall of the NCC was due to DII members not wanting true competition, but that same pseudo-competition that is evident when all participants in Pop Warner football get a trophy.
