I would still put us at 2. James Madison takes the top spot. How many teams can have 2 pick sixes against them and still have a chance to win. Ill chalk the offensive offensive showing as a fluke. Defense still gave us a chance

I'll rank the Bison #2 behind EWU but I'm guessing we'll be #3 in the polls.

This week's polls will be total messes with how many top teams lost. I have no idea how I am going to rank my top 25 now...what a clusterf**k

Saying as Northern Iowa stayed in the top 20 till they were 0-4, I would assume we should stay at #1. But our numbers were not impressive today.

5 out of the top 10 including the top 4 lost today. In a fair world we'll be 2 or 3, EWU should be 1 as much as I hate to admit it. Georgia Southern might get some #1 votes, they beat #4 Wofford. I've had Montana State as the #3 in the Big Fluffy the last few weeks, today should prove that.

NDSU should be at #4 I think.

I'd go:

1. EWU
2. JMU
3. Montana St.
4. NDSU

for the time being.

Any normal week I would say #5, but with so many teams at the top going down, I will say #3.

I'd go:

1. EWU

4. NDSU

There is almost zero chance Montana St is ranked ahead of NDSU, but GSU could be.

Then again, MSU barely lost to the new #1. NDSU lost to an unranked team.

The top 10 this week for voters has gotta be pretty tough.

yea, id say probably 4, but im hoping for 3 behind ewu and jmu. at least theres a bunch of games left to get back to the top unlike last years loss which came 2nd to last game of the year.

Vitojr130

I'm guessing 3rd as well, only behind JMU and EWU. I'm also guessing Cal Poly takes a crack at the top five with ODU dropping the furthest out of any top 5 teams.

Sorry, I but my toungue hoping it would get better. It looks like it is getting absurd at this point. Haha!

YSU is out and Southern Illinois is in?

A SWAC team still, at number 8?

Southwestern Louisuana is in with a losing record?

Four Ohio Valley teams in the top 25?

How in the world is Cal Poly, who is undefeated with an FBS win not in the top 25? That is without question, a top 5 team.

We get dogged on usually just for being North Dakota State

I would have said 3rd or 4th even if the landslide at the top of the polls hadn't occurred, but it's sure easier to put us in at third like I did in my polls.

Bracket Projection on FCS Sports Network still has us projected as top seed with JMU at No. 2. I say we stay at number 1!!!!!

Meh, I put us at #4 begrudgingly. Few impressive wins and I can justify jumping us past EWU and GSU again.

As for the seeds, right now I think we would likely get the #1 seed still, since they don't go off the polls (thankfully).

The polls will be a mess. Makes for good conversation debating who's loss was the worse. Since ours was self inflicted, I'm saying #5 at worse.

I find this loss almost easy to take. Our defense gave up a 49 yard field goal after a long return. That is it. It wasn't like a team gashed us for 500 or 600 yards and exposed a weakness. We didn't have Bruhn and Grothman who are absolutely critical to our pass protection and run game, we lost our starting WR in the middle of the game and our best tailback was dinged up. Our offense didn't play good, Brock is significantly better than last week, and has been a dominant QB for two seasons. We will still have home field all the way through. In my opinion, nothing changed other than our fans realizing that anything can happen. That was a good team that was very well coached. South Dakota will be the tailgate capital of the world and I think the guys play alot better next week.

2. Self-inflicted and the defense still performed well. Plus nobody stood out to me with dominating wins.

Have to agree. Its not like the wheels have come off. In every game there are a couple of plays where there is a turning point where those plays have a material impact on the game. We had two that were not in our favor that were caused by us. Even with that we were still IN the game with a chance to win.

Very well said. The Bison are still a good team--but they are not infallible. Any fan that can't accept that is not only out of touch with reality, but probably has their own ego way too enmeshed with the team.

Indiana State is also a good team and they deserved to win the game. Congratulations to them. They definitely deserve respect.

Go Bison!!

One more thought: most statistics are over-rated in football because they don't correlate well with the scoreboard. One statistic that is NOT over-rated is turnovers. Not only did our offense have big turnovers yesterday, the defense didn't create any.

so ndsu defense gave up 3 points and ndsu's o coordinator lost the game.

Therefore, Ndsu should not be punished and remain #1

No way NDSU falls further than #3. The more I look, the more I struggle to figure who'd be #1 instead, maybe 6-0 Cal-Poly.

My top four would probably be (no particular order): NDSU, Cal-Poly, SDSU, EWU.
