Why isn't the inventor of Bisonville (and the "Let's Go Bison" chant), LakesBison on the list?

Congrats to the guys on the achievement, and the lady too (Sicatoka)!

Yep. He was well into the red until he showed up at teh tailgate like a lost puppy.

Then TAB asked PL if he could keep him. Its been big time entertainment since then.

Now he rates just below Answer Guy!

The Lakes Experiment didn't happen until around 2007. Although he may have traveled back in time to change his registration date to the future to hide his tracks.

Yes. You suck at the internet. You need 7 more posts to be elite.

BTW, I've never considered handing out bisonville swag but, honestly, I think 10-year anniversaries deserve it.

How about t-shirts? If so, what should the captions say?

Deliver them in person? Oh, I think not!

I was thinking something along the lines of a series of diabolically clever clues that, as you solve them, guide you on a journey of self-discovery and wonder until you finally solve the last clue only to find that you had the prize within you all along* (figuratively.)

Either that or I'd mail them.

* I did something quite similar with a co-worker's car keys many years ago after he left them on the table of a restaurant where we were having lunch.

I'm knitting them as we speak.

Dang it. This is yet another reminder that my life plan has completely gone to hell. By the time I was 40, I was supposed to be rich enough to retire so that I could stage elaborate practical jokes and stuff.

Under that scenario, I would presumably be able to come up with an award less prosaic than a t-shirt. Bottom line: I'm open to suggestions.

Dredging up the first thread regading NDSU moving to DI made me remember that there were a few people that changed usernames or had a lapse of membership before they signed up again on this verison of the board. WYOBISONMAN would be one of those, as he was merely WYOBISON to start with and roadwarrior must have been on vacation or something.

If you a 9 or 10-year vet could you send me your t-shirt size?

Also, please indicate whether you want your Bisonville name on the back of the t-shirt. I'll figure out a distribution system later.

Personally, I'd prefer to substitute blazers* for t-shirts (you know, to class up a joint) but my "be stupidly wealthy by now" plan failed to pan out (not for lack of not doing anything though.)

I am guessing the number of posts have been increasing at an increasing rate, so maybe 3.5 to 4 years would be a good guess. I suppose a better prediction could be garnered with more information. Like number of posts per year by year. Same with members. Let's say the Bison repeat, does that mean more people will want for talk about it or at what point does it become boring. Of course that is just football. I think football has a long ways to go before it has reached any saturation point but the other sports have the world in front of them. Teams win, people start following, and more people want to talk about them.

Of course if we start scheduling und in football, this board absolutely explodes and 1M will be met in very short order.

Hammersmith might have a better idea, but I'll try: I'd say three and a half years. The board only hit 500,000 posts in late May (or early June) of 2011. That's about 10000 posts a month although the sample period contains two summers and springs (the lowest board activity areas) and only one football season. How about January 1, 2015? Hopefully, we are all around to see that.

The timing of 1 million will be directly proportional to the amount of off-field/criminal trouble our football players are involved in!! :hide:

I used to keep track month to month, but I quit that a few years ago when I switched computers and lost the file for awhile. I think the 1mil date is closer to two years away than three. On April 1, 2010(the last time I checked), the number was 361k posts. 30 months later and we're at 655k posts. And the rate is increasing. The math says about 2.8 years. I'd guess about 2.4 unless the FB team tanks, TAB is extradited to Nigeria, and SD develops a sense of humor.
