Should be a good test for the new look Bison. I'm interested to see how Yager does as the new setter. Tough shoes to fill. Lambertson, Cammack, and Joki will be beasts at the net this year. Should be another exciting year. Get it going Bison!

There are matches (closest) in Madison, Minneapolis, Omaha, and Brookings before they play at home. You could go on a Road Trip for the fun of it.

Tempting, but Brookings is the only one I could possibly make(and it would be tough), and the ladies will be playing in Fargo five days later. Oh well.

Bison drop first set to NMSU 26-28. Currently leading second set 8-2.

Bison take second set 25-12.

Bison drop third set 17-25.

NMSU wins the match 3-1 after the Bison drop the fourth set 22-25.


So far the Bison have outscored their opponents 198-195, which isn't much comfort when you're 0-2.

I watched Livestats last night and today.
0-2 to start the season. Looks like lots of work to do before they
hit the conference. Too many ball handling errors, and the usual suspects
on service errors.

0-3 to start the season. It looks as if the out of conference portion of the
year will be long and difficult. Improvements need to happen before they
get to Omaha on Sept. 15th and start conference play.

Sophomore middle hitter Carissa Whalen was the only Bison player named to the all-tournamt team after hitting a team-best .388 with 11 blocks for the weekend.

Maybe I'm wrong but if we want to get a better seed in the NCAA, we should be winning some of these OCC games.

Not belilttlilng the team but winning some of these games would help at the end of the year. Moot point if they win the conference but more than likely they will go down to UM to play again.
