Is this the first poll that has NDSU #1? Also, is there an official release somewhere?

Idaho State got votes. Idaho freaking State got votes.

2-9 last year. 1-7 in the Big Sky. One of their wins was against Western State College (Division II). Lost the last 8 games of the year.

They deserve those three votes!!

Idaho State got votes. Idaho freaking State got votes. And there you have it. Anybody think those should have been Indiana State's votes, perhaps someone intending to rank them as #23?

I know, I know. Couldn't be. They NEVER make those kinds of mistakes.

Please, someone from that school that got a bunch of votes last year after losing games to FBS schools and near misses vs. winless FCS teams and piss poor NAIA/D-II teams, justify this ranking. GO.

Maybe the coaches figure they're "due" to win a bunch in a row...

Isn't this poll better called the "whoever was in the Athletic office at the time the poll was due" Poll

Maybe someone thought they were voting for Boise State.

Idaho State got votes. Idaho freaking State got votes.

Based on anomalies the last two years, I'm blaming Big Sky schools for those votes (though they might have been Great West schools last year.)

Well, to be fair, Idaho State notched more wins than NDSU last year if you add up all their wins for the last seven seasons.

I think I discovered the bottom six votes for the two Big Sky voters:

1 2
20 C-P NAU
21 UND UND
22 PSU XXX
23 NAU PSU
24 ISU C-P
25 XXX ISU

Kidding, but only slightly.

Idaho State got votes. Idaho freaking State got votes.

With Kramer in charge, ISU should be on the upswing. He's improved recruiting, fan interest, and has booted troublemakers off of the team.

They belong nowhere near the top 25 at this point in time, though.

While this is great news it doesn't mean a thing. This ranking will not assure us of another National Championship. I'll be more excited when we get closer to the play-offs because then that will help us with the seeding. This year WE are the HUNTED. We'd better be ready.
