We are now under three weeks until the 2012 season begins.

Coming off the NC there are definitely high expectations for this season.

I predict the Colonials come ready to play and make it close for the first 2 1/2 quarters before our depth overpowers them:

BISON- 31
RMU- 10

Bohl will have the team ready. Remind them that this is a new year, new players, new goals, new expectations. The game is close for maybe the 1st quarter. Bison D dominates and the offense gets rolling. 34-6 Bison.

If it was SHSU coming in here then I would be more worried.

RM was 2-9 last year in the NEC. They return 17 starters but this is an ave NEC team.

42-7, but RMU doesn't score until we put our 3rd string D in.

42 to 10; Close in first quarter, but crowd noise from the 12th man make it impossible for the RMU offense to find any rythm. Crowd is MVP of game. John Crocket has 130+ yards in debut.

I figure 42-17, RMU scores all but 3 points in the second half after all starters are on the bench and dome is half empty.

NDSU uses some big plays on offense and defense makes Robert Morris one dimensional

Offensively: still have questions about the O-line, but i doubt that RMU D will be able to take advantage of any weaknesses. With loaded receiver and scary backfield, NDSU moves the ball efficiently.

Defense: First team demonstrates that its true potential was never fully realized until week 13/14. Second team performs well and gets plenty of good reps in.

The RMU defense is unable to get off the field, and their offense stuffed in the first half. Second half RMU wears down. 200+ rushing yards in the second half, as bohl tries to not run up the score, and fails. RMU finally gets a td at the end of the third or early fourth against some third stringers. 21-0 half, 52-7 game.

There is noway that Robert Morris scores more than 10. Frankly I'd be suprised if they score against our defense .

Field goals. That's the most they will get. IMHO, I can see maybe a run get by us or something flukey, but no touchdown. Field goals.

That would be true if our starters and top backups played the whole game. If they only play 2.5 quarters I would bet a lot of $$$ that RMU squeaks out something in the 2nd half against our freshman. To your point, this RMU team visiting us is much worse than the team that visited the Bison a few years ago in the playoffs. This will be no contest from the first snap. I am excited to get the tailgating cobwebs dusted off and watch some of the new players in impact roles. Final score has no bearing on this teams capability.

Bison will wear their GOLD JERSEYS for the Robert Morris game and one other game during the season. (according to Izzo's twitter)

I completely threw out my old prediction for this game after hearing that news. Whole new game.

Whether you love the Gold Rush Unis or hate 'em, you have to admit that starting this season the same way they ended last year is the right move.

Having the champs wearing the same jerseys they wore last when hoisting the championship trophy is awesome and not that big of a surprise. I would predict either homecoming or SDSU as the other game to wear them. I also think that they should wear them for every home playoff game they have from now on.

The Bison could wear Ralphies Bunnie Ear Christmas Pajamas and still win this game.

Actually, I would pay $1000 or more to watch that.:)

Robert Morris must be really good this year, like NDSU they too only placed two players on TSN's pre-season all conference team, both on defense. Sounds like they didn't have much of a run game last year, I think this will be a good game to sit Juckem, rest his knee, and let Schaetz and Luecke get some game time experience.

Yeah...I'm not a fan of sayings like this. It reminds me too much of all the ridiculous chatter we heard before the EWU game about the red tampon.

I'm gonna go with

NDSU blows out RMU = 95%
NDSU wins a close game = 4.99%
RMU wins a close game = 0.01%
RMU Blows out NDSU = 0%

I've never had such a skewed prediction in favor of the Bison, but under these circumstances (new turf, hoisting the banner, etc.) they don't stand a chance. :fight:

One week boys!

RMU averaged 108 yd/game running last year. They better hope they get something better than that against the Bison to have any type of prayer in this game.

I bet their offense cannot do anything against the Bison defense.....this game will be over by halftime....

Here's Coach Bohl's press conference from today talking about the Robert Morris game, depth chart, and a whole lot more. And there a little preview of the game too.
