My wife and I went on a vacation in the middle of May and we stopped in Indianapolis to check out the NCAA Hall of Champions. The banner was the very first thing I saw upon entering. They even had Thundar in the kid's section where you could mix-and-match mascots. It's great to be #1 and I'm proud to be a Bison fan!

So are the items just from this year or do they list/show the past national championships that NDSU has won during their D-II time?

Did you happen to see the "...most recognized and admired..." logo in sports on display anywhere while you were there?

They had touch-screen computers for each sport and you could look up your team on them. Unfortunately they were not very in depth but it was cool to see that we got at least a little recognition. I don't remember seeing a list of the championships on the computer but I think you could search by year or something like that. I honestly didn't spend much time on the touch-screen since there was so much else to look at anyways.

Funny story, they still had them listed as D2 on the big map/directory on one of the walls! But no logo to be found. This is all they had. (Sorry about the glare)

When it first opened about 10 years ago (before our transition) I remember seeing a couple displays that included NDSU. I believe there was also some UND hockey stuff. This would have been shortly after their last national championship. It's not a Hall of Fame but more of a marketing display for the NCAA. I think they were trying to find some way for fans to visit the headquarters without traipsing through the offices. It's worth seeing if you are in the area but it's not a destination spot.
