Yes. I wrote Gene and said that the changes were fine and not to listen to the echo chamber of over reaction that was being fueled by a few people who love their Bison with the heat of a thousand misguided suns.

It seems to me that at least half of this is carry over dislike of the 3rd logo and snorty nostalgia, which is OK, but it's not terribly relevant to the actual issue. Rolling back the new marks will not eliminate the 3rd logo and it won't bring snorty back.

I have it on good authority that a large number of whioux fans are sending similar emails just to screw us over. If these logos stay it is entirely their fault.

Wouldn't have even noticed a difference without the 2 logos side by side, other than the choreographed sound of everyone’s sphincter simultaneously puckering.

BTW, kind of a factiod full of truthiness: Bison have played an incredibly important role in not only North American but also European history. 30,000+ years ago Paleolithic man was making paintings of bison on the walls of Chauvet Cave. I wonder if they got into heated debates about how bison should be depicted.

Here is what I sent:

Good Afternoon Gene,
As an alumnus, teammaker, parent of a NDSU student and big Bison fan, I just needed to send you an e-mail to express my thoughts regarding the new NDSU Bison logos.

In summary, please do whatever you can to prevent these new logos from being used anywhere!

The reasons for my dislike of the new logos are as follows:
1. Seems to be overkill as NDSU is again changing (within 5 years) what most fans were just getting used to.
2. The new Bison figures are too soft and lost all the sharp lines that express power and confidence.
3. The new rounded off, casual NDSU lettering does not look like something a State or DI university would use.
4. Compare the older logos side by side with each of the similar new ones, and the new ones look very much inadequate.
5. Seems most Bison fans dislike the new logos enough to not want to purchase anything with them on it.
6. If NDSU wants fans to like new logos they should have asked the public for help narrowing down choices like SDSU did. 7. Be sure to verify those who say they like the new logos are actually NDSU fans, not UND folks messing with us.

Please take into consideration the above comments. I sincerely hope my concern, along with many others who feel the same, will make a difference. At least tell me that none of the new logos will be used on the new turf at the Fargodome.

I did note the presence of an 'early artist' lightining bolt, so yours should be good to go.
