Looks like the leading offensive player in the MVFC got the boot for violating team rules.

Thanks! Good read on their QB situation. Apparently drug related and serious enough that the law is involved.

Missouri State gets a QB transfer from Mizzou:

http://www.columbiamissourian.com/stories/2012/07/09/missouri-backup-quarterback-glaser-transfer-missouri-state/

After his transfer is completed, Glaser will be eligible to play for Missouri State in the fall because it competes in the NCAA's Football Championship Subdivision. The Bears currently have just two scholarship quarterbacks after last year's starter, Trevor Wooden, was kicked off the team for violating team rules (http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7916838/missouri-state-quarterback-trevor-wooden-dismissed-violating-team-rules).
Glaser's only collegiate appearance came in the final quarter of a 69-0 victory over Western Illinois last season. He came to MU in January 2009 from Springdale High School in Springdale, Ark.

My God...Reading that board is almost as difficult as the SHSU abomination.

Haha....I didn't even try their board because I'm sure they are overly optimistic that this guy is their savior and it's probably a non issue.....kid's got a lot of catching up to do.

The rest of the Missouri Valley gets alot of mileage by giving kids a second chance. THis kid was recently a 3 star QB with an offer from Auburn. He probably doesn't suck. Alot of the RB's and QB's in the Mo Valley are transfers in.....and can play. Just wishing we had a legit bigtime program in the area where kids could move on to. Especially being they don't have to sit out to move down to FCS level of football.

Good point. Just think, we could have won a national title if we just had more big time transfers.

I'll let the other programs keep their transfers, at least they'll be on level playing field with us and can *maybe* compete.

We have done such a good job recruiting, developing, and retaining guys we haven't needed many. Our track record with transfers kind of sucks but I would imagine Bohl would look at one if the situation is right. Seems like transfers don't pan out. Bohl seems to have something figured out with jucos on defense. Something to do with systems. Jucos and transfers aren't that different. are they? 3 years is better than 2. I know USD had some success with a Gopher safety

I could list a few transfers that are in the Mo Valley that would make us better. I didn't say it was a way to build a program, but no different than us grabbing a few LB from the JUCO ranks this summer to fill in holes. I would have loved a WR transfer in the last two years.

Agreed. And perhaps a MLB this year? FBS transfers who are successful, or JUCOs, it is all the same to me. Find people who can contribute.
