Guess this could go in the 'Our House' topic...but figured since the spring is always pretty slow and some of you might like to read it that I'd post it here.

If all indoor college football stadiums were as well-executed as the Carrier Dome, there would probably be a lot more than nine of them.

too bad the syracuse football team can't say the same thing.

I don't understand why they put the Carrier Dome at #1. It's basically a poor-man's Metrodome.

It is a nice venue. I think it is pretty well accepted as Gospel that the bleacherreport is semi-garbage, but I think they did alright on this. I'm surprised they gave the dome #2. I would have thought they would have said the Alamo dome.

Look at the top of the page. It's a Syracuse fans blog...

I work for Carrier which is the naming sponsor on the Carrier dome. Willis Carrier invented modern air conditioning in Buffalo in 1902. Ironically the Carrier Dome does not have air conditioning.

I think they factored in game atmosphere into the list. I'm not sure how many fans UTSA gets as they just started up. I could image it being very dead with about 15k fans in a 65k stadium. Also why isn't the Georgia Dome on the list?

1. He stated that UTSA averaged 35k this year.
2. He also stated that the Georgia Dome did not count because this list was ONLY stadiums that had college football programs as the MAIN tenant.

Its more impressive that 3 of the top 10 venues hail from the Missouri Valley Conference.

Um, there's only nine venues. And all three are only in it because they qualify architecturally out of nine total.

Yeah, number 9!

The first time I entered Holt Arena after going to Bison games for so long I was blown away by how cramped it felt despite the fact that there were a ton of empty seats.

That being said, the new turf they put down this year was so much better than carpet in the Fargodome. Once the new turf gets laid down, the Dome will be better than Holt Arena in every possible category
