Everygame was televised in some form or another. If an official one doesn't surface (I imagine it will being a NC season and all) someone will be able to make you an unofficial dvd, I would bet.

I think he is right in being critical. Sure he has a number of sports to cover...but that is his job. They have an opportunity to make some $$$ and need to cash in on it. Create a buzz. I sure hope they did more than the 2006 & 2007 versions. Those weren't bad...but they could have done a lot more. They need to have this done before the spring game. That dvd must be available to buy at the spring game sale. If not that would be a mistake of Portly Rob's conception proportions.

With some of the highlight videos posted within days after games I cannot see why this cannot be done very quickly. They have had time. What else do they have that would be so easily sold? If I was running the show, I would have it be released on the day of the spring game. I would also make it so the only place you could buy it that day was at the Fargodome. If you are coming all that way to get a DVD, you might as well stick around and watch the spring game. I like the fact that they are taking their time to make a quality product.

I agree. Put a couple flunkies or media undergraduates on it. Kasey just needs to let them know what he is looking for and let them do their thing (think Don Draper). I don't expect Kasey to necessarily be in the editing room, but do I expect him to pick the best one.

who are they?

if you are talking the television broadcasts, then no they would not have an hd copy. if you are talking ndsu taking their own videos, then yes they may have their own copies. and if they did, I would imagine it wouldn't be more then one sideline camera run by a student or someone from media relations

Yeah, the concerns were valid 10 years ago. A bigger problem was the impossibility of getting HD video inside the dim FargoDome and they solved that problem.

Really, I'm just glad there'll be a 2011 season DVD this year. I mean, as far as I can tell, the NCAA doesn't even release their DVDs in blu-ray yet.

That said, the NCAA is terrible about thinking ahead. NDSU can do better and really should start shooting in HD if they're not already - even if only for archival purposes.

If I had access to the video files, I would make the video. If you want to be taken seriously as a TV station or university, why the hell can't you edit/store HD video? You don't even have to put HD video on a bluray disc, there is this great thing called DivX that will play in HD but be about 700-1000mb for a 90-120 movie. There is NO excuse for the TV station OR NDSU to not have the video in HD quality, it's 2012. Storage is cheap, computers are cheap, media is cheap, and labor will be the same price HD or SD. Considering I am quite familiar with the printing capabilities on the NDSU campus, I know this is not true. Sure, there is probably only one place for students to get color documents printed, but the truth is, NDSU has a really extensive print shop they use themselves, including micro-presses. They have a massive print shop that produces anything from tests to advertising posters on any given day. The Union print shop is less than great, but it serves most of the purpose needed.

well I am assuming they would only use kvly's video or ndsu video. I don't know why they would use wday video. also I don't live in Fargo but does kvly broadcast their newscast in hd and if so when did they start. if your bet is kvly has archives hd video of games they broadcasted live then I will take any bet you want. they are not going to send an extra photog to cover the game just to get hd video when they have a whole crew there broadcasting the game live on their channel

This conversation is getting too hi tech for me. All I know is if kvly has standard def camera's, its going to look like shit. The cameras ndsu uses on the sideline are hd. That means the video will be a mix between hd and sd. Tv games are terrible. Even the 2010 promo vids were shot in hd.Wday is even broadcasting their news in hd and i guarantee it didnt cost them 20 million. I do know that we should demand better because other markets are in HD.

I lost track of how many times I got goosebumps during the video. The way they plug the UNI game was really cool - to me, that's still the biggest regular-season game we played. The Georgia Southern game got a lot of run too and it's cool to see that the team really enjoyed that win.

Absolute must-buy for folks who want to re-live the magic of last season. Great job by the NDSU multimedia department and my guy Ryan Nelson for his work on it.

Amazing! This is a great DVD. They stepped it up big time on this one. Excellent quality, music was amazing as well. You will get goosebumps, cheer, and get emotional during this video. Did a great job recognizing the past champions as well; shoed a lot of video and audio from years past.Best part: slow motion sequence of the team walking off the bus, audio of Don Morton and past video of past championships. That part gave me the biggest chills of many emotional moments.

Yeah, no kidding. I watched through the Youngstown St game and figured it was pointless to finish watching the rest of the season.
