Scheels is proud to sponsor the NDSU National Championship Trophy Tour. Your chance to see the trophy and get a picture with it. Also, free commemorative posters (while supplies last). Schedule below:

Friday, Feb. 24 Scheels – Bismarck, 3 p.m.-7 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 25 Scheels – Minot, 9:30 a.m.-Noon
Scheels – Grand Forks, 5 p.m.-7pm
Sunday, Feb. 26 Scheels –Fargo, Noon – 4 p.m.

Or how about the Scheels stores in Minnesota? St. Cloud, Eden Prairie? Since so many alumni, players and students are from here, it would be nice to get a little love.

The Holiday gas station in Dickinson probably gets more customers a day then the Bismarck Scheels. Set it up next to the coffee machine ;)

This is Scheel's initiative, not NDSU's. Let's be happy that a sponsor is willing to drum up support for NDSU at its own expense rather than using it as another avenue for criticism.

If Dickinson wants to host the trophy, then one of their local businesses needs to step up because if NDSU spends so much as $1.50 getting the trophy there, then some douchebags are going to use that as another excuse to cut NDSU's funding and fire everybody in sight.

Funny how NDSU and Scheels areat least getting the trophy out a little further west and there are those complaing about it. If you like, I am sure it is on display in the football office, you could drive all the way to Fargo and Boycott Scheels.

I swung by the Bismarck Scheels this afternoon to take a look. I had to give the young man guarding the trophy some crap to make sure he was ready in case some rogue fans from the outhouse up north decided to pull some stunt. He laughed and said they would have extra security when visiting El Forke Grande.

IMHO, the "tour" should visit the Billings, Sioux Falls and St. Cloud Scheels stores.
